"We're officially excited about The Outsider - despite the fact that it's still a loooong way off yet. Penciled in for '09, Frontier's plans for its all-action freeform thriller are so large it's going to take all that time and more for them to realise its obvious potential. Big cheese David Braben refers to it as the first true open world game, where you genuinely do have freedom of choice over what you do and where you go, how you do it and how you deal with the consequences. More than that, he reckons they've taken their experience in creating classic freeform space adventure Elite and its sequel, watched how Rockstar have set about adding to the template in GTA, and bettered both with The Outsider."

Videogamer: "The last few weeks may have seen South Park: The Stick Of Truth, DriveClub, and Watch Dogs receive delays, but at least those responsible had the decency to tell you. Sometimes we're not that lucky."
some games might be cancelled but the last garduian is not and i think that also agent is still in dev and i hope they take a switch to ps4
The Last Guardian and Agent are coming. THEY HAVE TO....they have to. Lol I'm blindly speculating: VGAs or E3.
"5 Games That May Be *Delayed* Forever"
*lists 3 games that have been confirmed cancelled for years*
Great work videogamer.com

Gamers tend to get more excited about the titles they're promised for the future than the ones that are actually available for purchase right now. This leads to a lot of heartbreak, since many of the most groundbreaking games get stuck in development limbo for years, or never get released at all.
Granted, there's no guarantee that any of these games would have been good (see: Duke Nukem Forever), but they're all intriguing as hell, which makes it that much sadder that they seem to be dead in the water.
If team ico is making any game I better be BLOWN out of my mind.it's been a long time since their last game.
I really hope Star Wars 1313 comes out it looked really good from what they showed it was like Uncharted but in space. Not sure why I've never heard of TimeO it has a very interesting concept.
AGENT anyone?
Not trying to be smart but I was really excited for a Rockstar PS3/4 exclusive. Would like to know where the hell that went.
If no one has played them, how do people know that these games are "incredible"? Just by looking at graphics? I've seen some $hitty games with awesome graphics. Even if you may have seen gameplay footage, who knows if these games have outright stupid endings like mass effect 3?
Calling these games anything other than plainly 'interesting' is just hype.
Joystiq: Frontier Developments may have put the kibosh on continued development of its open-world action title, The Outsider, but that doesn't mean footage of the game isn't out there. Ex-Frontier sound engineer Kyle Nichol wrangled some of that footage and posted it up on his portfolio site, showcasing the first bit of in-game action that we've seen from the stalled project.
Finally, I though this game was cancelled or something. It's been more than a year. Glad to hear a great dev back in action. Hope these are not empty promises and this game is indeed the next step for open world games.
