Press Play talks to Product Manager Karl Reader about what’s new in DMC, and what series fans can expect to return in this new take on the beloved franchise!

Capcom is bringing four pending titles to New York Comic Con including the new Resident Evil game.

Devil May Cry 5 surpasses 10 million sales as Netflix animated series drives major surge in franchise popularity.

It's been six years since Capcom dropped Devil May Cry 5, but it's still more than worth replaying in 2025 thanks to its rich gameplay.
Because the anime is on Netflix and we gotta ride that DMC in the news again wave.
It’s been sitting in my backlog for a while now. One of the first games I wanted to try for this current gen due to the long load times of previous gen. I’ll get around to it soon!
Everytime its on sale I think about buying it but never do. I only played the orginal and somr of 3 so I guess that's part of it.
I hate how they say that they're staying true to the core combat mechanics. How is that true? Because it's a hack and slash? Making DmC like god of war is not staying true to the series.
lolz "core combat" its a hack n slash so yeah that's all the core concept they kept sounds great. yay he is Half Demon Half Angel.... fuk it lets go nuts lets also make Engergy Companies as bad guys, wtf who thought this was a good idea..
"We still got original Dante..."
Dante = half demon half human
Dante = has white hair because of genetic trait in story relating to his father, and outside game reference to Japanese folklore perception that people with white hair was possessed by demons.
Dante = not someone who curses.
Dante = does not smoke (Ninja theory's version did in beginning so the "He doesn't smoke anymore" doesn't work).
Dante = not created by Ninja theory
Dante = was no longer "cool" and would get "laughed out" in a bar in Tokyo according to Tameem.
And as a insult to Dante fans they ruin Devil trigger by making their version of Dante look like real Dante with red jacket and white hair. They say they did that to pay tribute - clearly they did it to ensure better sales. What better way to pay tribute to Dante than not replace him huh?
Right ...you have original Dante in DmC with a different look despite what has been said about Original Dante, and how he is as a character.
Such bullshit is only accepted by brainwashed people.
