VGR: Forza Horizon is a change of direction the venerable racing series. Replacing the clinical and somewhat cold presentation of past Forza games is a new, vibrant look as well as an open-world focus. Forza Horizon succeeds on its energy and mechanics, despite some missteps along the way. The changes will not be for everyone, however, and veterans of the series might find themselves left out of the fun.
