The only thing I dislike about the COD franchise and fanboys is that people think that if you play a certain game you're a bad person. Like a video game effects your social status in the world lol It's just a video game and if it sells so much obviously Treyarch and Infinity Ward are doing something right even though you might now like the game.

Now my only gripe about COD is the map size hindering the style of play. Such as: you can only run for 5 seconds and quick scoping being a "Strategy."

After playing Battlefield it's really hard to go back to COD. But I think that COD, being a small map game, can learn a lot from Battlefield's Rush match type.

This is a close quarter type of game so their should be close quarter type matches like Rainbow 6. "Rescue the Hostage" and such. I don't think people in the Marines run around with Akimbo Sawed Off Shotguns. The military is all about organized groups and combat in close quarters. Not throw a grenade, run, spray down 5 enemies, call in a helicopter in 10 seconds

I know it's an arcade shooter but it it's getting stale. I can play battlefield 3 for years, after I get to prestige level in COD then what? Get a emblem and bragging rights?

it's half-broken and they half-fixed it in my opinion.
they didn't bring that many new things in the previous titles, still didn't manage to fix the things that were in need of. i read pretty much all of the news and info on BO2 (yes i'm pretty bored) and it seems like they improved on small details (no knife-lunge, camos for secondaries, improved scorestreak system) but also larger aspects of the game (new gamemodes (multiplayer, zombie), new create a class system, shoutcast-option). i'll have to see if it will fullfill my expectations. i'm still very sceptical, but pretty optimistic.

I'm not saying that BO2 wont be good but they said MW3 would be the best Call of Duty yet and it was the worst one in the entire series.

The Xbox division has not listened to the customer since the 360 days. Ever since Kinect, Microsoft has been about selling us what they want and trying to tell us it’s what we want rather than actually selling us what we are asking for.

Microsoft does have a history of running things into the ground simply because they don't innovate or give products breathing space. I fully expect in the long term they will manage the same with Call of Duty and will kill it, just as they killed Halo and Forza and many other IP's over the years. This also extends to things like windows phones and such. They just were not competitive and did not listen to consumers.

Battlefield has beaten Call of Duty in players number not in sales maybe but in players

If they're going to do stuff like MW3 and BLOPS 7, at least make the campaign split-screen co-op. The way the maps are structured there's no reason not to, and it just adds value to a game that's short on it as it is.

COD is turning into a sports game wash, rinse, repeat. At least Ubisoft stopped doing the yearly releases with AC and it worked.

Call of Duty can die only by killing itself. This can happen to any franchise and happened to Medal of Honor which ironically was created by the original team that made Call of Duty.
