One Hit Pixel: Call Of Duty: Black Ops II Adopts The “If It Ain’t Broke, Don’t Fix It” Battle Plan

Call of Duty has seen iteration after iteration since the release of the rather excellent of Modern Warfare, but never with any new innovation for gamers. With Black Ops II, Treyarch, Activision and many media outlets have dubbed it as the best Call of Duty yet, but we decided to see if the multiplayer portion of the title stacks up to these claims.

It's not haters is getting tired of the same sh!t year in year out.......get it right bro

dcortz20274850d ago

Spot on bro, nice avy, I can't wait for Medal Of Honor: Warfighter either! I used to be a huge COD fan, but I have grown tired of playing the same game every year with little to no changes at all.

theEx1Le4850d ago

Played the MoH beta, Games gash.

3-4-54850d ago

You guys aren't smart. It's two different dev teams.

Everyone is mad at MW3......That game has almost literally nothing to do with the people making Black ops 2.

How don't you people comprehend this?

Last year when MW3 was out....it wasn't treyarch....they were busy making Black Ops 2.

FACTS > what you guys think

blodulv4850d ago (Edited 4850d ago )

I would be happy with a more balanced, non-hacked MW2 honestly. MW3's lagfest is horrid.

People like the gameplay and that's why it doesn't matter if it's not a monumental upgrade... as long as it plays well. When the online play starts to suffer as bad as the last two games though, well that's two strikes. I really think Blops 2 will be a make or break deal for a lot of COD veterans.

TopDudeMan4850d ago

Yeah, exactly. What call of duty fans want is a game that plays like the game they love without all the annoying stuff.

That's what they fail to deliver on year in year out. The problem isn't that it's the same game every year, it's that they don't fix the things that are wrong with it.

princejb1344849d ago

Haha activision motto is
"If it sells don't fix it"

blodulv4850d ago

Well Black Ops & MW3 Multiplayer are broken... compared to previous COD's anyways. I say fix it, and fix it fast.

Lots of folks will be giving them some serious competition next gen and many hardcore players are already getting the itch to move on due to the past two experiences.

supersonicjerry4850d ago

What is wrong with black ops? MW2 was broken and MW3 is just trash everybody knows that.

Getowned4850d ago (Edited 4850d ago )

horrible hit boxes and lag .. nothing that hasn't been a problem in any other cod game,Blops is my fav cod currently tho and its not perfect but I wouldn't call it broken. (COD4 was my fav, but the hackers ruined it now)

JellyJelly4850d ago

If it's broken and people still buy it, don't fix it.

Straightupbeastly4850d ago

Cod has yet to change we think when entering a match. It's been the same thought process for five years now. Killstreaks, perks etc..

I'd like to see a cod where winning plays the major role in your rank. That would make it feel so fresh and competitive. Of course the franchise needs new game modes too, preferably ones more unpredictable.

You can only customize a weapon so much or add new killstreaks before it becomes tiring

"Cod has yet to change we think when entering a match. It's been the same thought process for five years now. Killstreaks, perks etc.."

You forgot to add weapons -_-

This COD allows you to take no perks and put a focus on your weapon and I think thats a good improvement because EVERYONE who hates COD complains about its perks so it does something good in their eyes and its still hate. Also Killstreaks reward good players... Whats wrong with that?

"I'd like to see a cod where winning plays the major role in your rank. That would make it feel so fresh and competitive. Of course the franchise needs new game modes too, preferably ones more unpredictable."

Halo 3 already did it. Not many people enjoy the Idea of being a good player and playing 1000 matches and being paired up with bad players on your team 60% of the time therefore only earning 333 points to level up.

Also Unpredictability has recently been proven as bad with the MOH beta. So many players on a map slightly bigger than COD's that you have no idea whether your safe or not.

"You can only customize a weapon so much or add new killstreaks before it becomes tiring".

So you must get bored even quicker with other games right? The possibilities of Class creator 3.0 are truly endless with Blops2 when compared to other shooters so its hardly a bad thing...

Guess they never heard of "there's always room for improvement".

Kotick Made $155 million from MS in the buyout, the little b*tch needs to stop whining. Thanks to this Microslop deal and massive industry consolidation thousands upon thousands of devs and other workers lost their livelihoods. This greedy piggie pervert needs shut up and f-off.

Microsoft needs to listen or risk irreparable harm to Call of Duty

Windows Central: "The money may keep rolling in, but Microsoft is the custodian of one of the biggest selling video game series in history. If something doesn't change, I fear we'll reach a breaking point and irreparable damage will have been done."

Because ms is so good at managing studios, surely they will get it right

:P

franwex51d ago

In my view, they should probably merge MP with Warzone and essentially make it free to play like Halo Infinite. The campaign/zombies mode can be $30 yearly DLC. I know this would be insanity as most COD players essentially pay the full price of the game simply for the MP. However-with a shrinking player base they may have to consider it. Making it free would bring in a ton of players.

Profchaos51d ago

To late MW3 should have been a lesson but here we are two years later with a steaming pile a shite called blops7

Halo killer once arrived and technically call of duty killer also arrived, its name is Fortnite

dveio51d ago

Call of Duty was riding the revenue horse and charts for ~20 years. Whether undeserved or deserved.

But I endorse everyone to remind you that Microsoft could have decided differently when they took it over.

The money was certainly there, and they could have taken their time revamping the franchise:

Current-gen tech, manageable microtransactions, not imitating Fortnite and returning to core values of the franchise's origin.

They didn't.

Let's see next year. Hopefully without the then 13 years old PS4 and One hardware.

blacktiger51d ago

you need to stop saying "let see next year"

While i appreciate the gesture.... all of these retro classics have been made available everywhere else. I am hoping to see some other Activision properties make their way out of the shackles of the 5th, 6th and 7th gen. Licensing be damned... bring back the Transformers Cybertron games.

P_Bomb240d ago

Love the Cybertron games! TF games have been shit lately. Would love to see that era revisited. I even did the multiplayer!

MrBaskerville239d ago

Is the retro classics for all consoles?

Obscure_Observer240d ago

We can´t catch a freaking break from awesome games arriving all the time!!!

Deathdeliverer240d ago

It’s a HELL of a game. If you like JRPGs in the family of Persona, you will be in heaven… that is until you hear the various battle music…. then you’ll be somewhere BEYOND heaven!

babadivad239d ago

Just finished Clair Obscur. This should be fun.
