Operation Pika: Successful

A while back I reported on a Facebook group that was working on getting a special edition Pikachu-themed Nintendo 3DS XL (3DS LL in Japan) released outside of Japan, specifically in North America, Europe, and Australia. This group is known as Operation Pika. With the news released by today’s Nintendo Direct announcement from Nintendo of Europe, I am happy to report that their efforts were successful. The Pikachu-themed 3DS XL was promised to be coming to Europe this year!

Good, as they should! A game mechanic like that shouldn't be locked behind a patent, and Nintendo didn't invent it either.

Nintendo wants to keep wasting money on bullshit lawsuits, real smart in this economy. They should put that money aside for other game projects. On the other hand, I don't care if they waste it all either, and they are screwed in the future maybe that will teach them a lesson.

I enjoyed both Rush games, I did think the action was sometimes too fast to see what was coming up in terms of hazards though, which meant replaying the same stage a bunch of times, other than that they were enjoyable, good special stages, 3D sections and bosses for the most part.

DS is one of the best consoles of all time. Such a rich library of software
Zelda were all glorious on it.
