Fans of the Devil May Cry series may want to cover their ears – or more aptly their eyes – for this preview as it might not sit well with some, especially those who have an unfounded hate against the new look Dante. I say this because, although I completely expected Ninja Theory to produce a winner, I was overwhelmingly surprised by just how good DmC feels to play – it’s just fantastic.

Devil May Cry 5 surpasses 10 million sales as Netflix animated series drives major surge in franchise popularity.

It's been six years since Capcom dropped Devil May Cry 5, but it's still more than worth replaying in 2025 thanks to its rich gameplay.
Because the anime is on Netflix and we gotta ride that DMC in the news again wave.
It’s been sitting in my backlog for a while now. One of the first games I wanted to try for this current gen due to the long load times of previous gen. I’ll get around to it soon!
Everytime its on sale I think about buying it but never do. I only played the orginal and somr of 3 so I guess that's part of it.

Steam's Summer Sale looks primed for Steam Deck players - with a huge collection of titles on offer for the handheld.
So we can finally get over the whole, character look thing? Since its a prequel/reboot
Quote from article:
"Having never produced a blockbuster title, despite the high production values found in every one of their games, I’ve always said that the British developer just needed to get its hands on a killer IP to produce stock shifting gold..."
Ninja theory didn't create the gameplay, story and characters of DMC. They didn't.
That was Hideki Kamiya plus Capcom members(and ex members).
And Ninja theory is not the reason why DmC is successful to a certain degree when it comes to gameplay. Capcom helped Ninja theory with the gameplay.
So if anything Ninja theory did by themself it would be the story and art. Everything else that had with gameplay to do they received help.
And when you receive help from a publisher/employer who asked you to make a rebooted version of DMC with same gameplay called DmC - then how have YOU (Ninja theory) produced something great?
DmC's gameplay credit goes more to Capcom than Ninja theory.
Ninja theory is overrated. They haven't produced anything spectacular gameplay wise. If recycling gameplay of DMC alongside Capcom using Unreal Enginge, (a game serie with history of 10 years) with a rebooted story and character is "producing" something on your own then i don't know what is.
I'm impressed with the level-designing. It looks like it's gonna be a good way to start 2013.
