GamesFiend's own Zeth goes hands on with the imminent Dishonored and runs it through it's paces in this hands-on preview.

Half-Life 2 art director and Dishonored designer Viktor Antonov has died aged just 52.
One of my biggest art heroes. His work and vision were truly one of a kind, and he’s been a huge inspiration to my own work. Such a heartbreaking loss.
Remember seeing Dishonored for the first time when it released, fell in love with the art style straight away, so striking! And because of it, still holds up and will for years to come, RIP Viktor
So sad to hear this. I absolutely love the Dishonored series and love the world and art style. It looks great and unique. I'm still hoping for a Dishonored 3

WolfEye Studios president and co-founder of Arkane Studios Raphaël Colantonio has said Dishonored and Prey fans “will be happy” with his new studio's next game.
Ouch, already placing a sales cap on this is potentially bad as these games never seem to sell all too well. Hopefully the budget is in check so no one gets laid off after launch.
Fuck yeah. Even if it’s just a spiritual successor I want more titles like Dishonored in terms of art style, design and gameplay

"As a developer - and as a player - it's always sad and it always sucks to see studios close and devs lose their jobs. I really hope all those people land on their feet, because I know our indusutry is better with them in it," Patel tells the outlet. "As for me and how I look at things, I guess first and foremost: I don't believe in living in fear," the Avowed director.
Then gets shut down the next day. They should know better than to talk crazy like that.
Only game im excited about this month! Getting no hype and looks better than anything else out right now! Creative and different, a must buy for me!
"I did find at times you could get easily over powered by the guards. This may have been in part to me not fully embracing the magic system the game has to offer – I also think maybe the game will be a little unforgiving of simple mistakes. Also at times the game seemed a little slow in pace and not signpost clearly your route of travel."
That all sounds wonderful to me :)
Thank God at least one game this season won't hold your hand the whole time. Having actual consequences for failure, a true sense of vulnerability (rather than the constant "we need to empower the player" crap) and open environments that don't funnel you down a set path is exactly what I'd like to see more of.
