
Eurogamer writes: It's all about the journey to the police station. There's plenty after that, of course. Monsters. Mutations. The sort of ludicrous plot twists that only Capcom could get away with. But ask me to pick something that defines the Resident Evil series, and it's the opening section of Resident Evil 2 that claws its way to the top of the list. It's the series at its clumsy, infuriating, heart-pounding, nerve-wracking best.

Capcom has announced and released the original Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 on Steam.

Capcom recently released Resident Evil Requiem, and it's been so successful that it's seemingly dragging along every other Resi game with it.
That's certainly true in the UK; the latest physical retail charts have come in, and the top 10 includes five Resident Evil games across all platforms.

This month, unleash brutal finishers in the reimagined Mortal Kombat 1, swing through Marvel’s New York skyline as the iconic web-slinger in Marvel’s Spider-Man, or gear up to repel swarming alien forces in Earth Defense Force 6. All these titles and more are available in August’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup. That includes Sword of the Sea, which releases day one into Game Catalog. Meanwhile, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis bring retro survival horror to PlayStation Plus Premium. All titles will be available to play on August 19*.
