Devil May Cry 4 is the first AAA title of 2008, and one of most anticipated titles of the past year. Dante makes his return, although it's overshadowed by the introduction of Nero, another knight from the Order of the Sword. The recently released demo got everyone excited, but does the full game live up the expectation? Here is a breakdown of some of the facets of Devil May Cry 4 for the PS3.

5. DMC4 7.5/10 (Hated Nero, repeat bosses, Dante was the saving grace but only about half the game)
4. DmC 7.5/10 (solid overall, some great ideas, meh story, dialog sucked, and the director almost killed DMC)
3. DMC1 8.5/10 (all around solid)
2. DMC5 9/10 (carried by Dante & Nero gameplay, I didn’t like V’s, Nero’s better but still not a fan)
1. DCM3 10/10 (chef’s kiss)

I think all of them are worth playing in their own right honestly, except 2 unless you REALLY want to experience the whole series.
I honestly don't know what the author was smoking, personally I'd rank DMC3 as no.1, maybe DMC5 as second, DMC1 as third, DMC4 as fourth, and DMC as fifth and DMC2 last. such a bizarre list, mybe the author just has strange taste.

This and putting DMC 2 number 2 is all I need to ignore this ranking. DMC2 is absolute trash and it's clear this person doesn't understand exactly why.

Me leaving it out should be telling of my thoughts on it. Better than 2 as a DMC game.

2 and 4 are trash, didnt like any of them.
5 has very good gameplay variety but i hated the foes.. it is just insects the whole time. Reboot has the best foes for me
3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

God DMC2 was an awful game.

Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...
5, 3, 1, 4, 2.
I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.
But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me
This right here is my order as I thought DMC 5 was amazing and obviously 3 comes after 4 was great and 1 for the nastilgic value it holds 2 was so terrible that my local GameStop gave full refunds to people who returned it.
Two Devil May Cry games have been delisted on Steam. As shared on X, formerly Twitter, by Wario64, Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition and Devil May Cry 4 are no longer available to purchase.
Bless the adorably all digital future! When it comes to PC games its not as big of an issue because there should always be another way to access single player games, but still, I hate to see anything get delisted.
Well, DMC4 special edition has a lot of issues to run from Steam.
I have to get a modded executable to even be able to run the game on Windows 10.
Not sure if it is because the game runs in DirectX10 or what, but it sucks they have not even tried to fix it.
DMC4 Special Edition is not delisted, it was just the standard version, it has nothing to do with issues of performance or anything alike. Its just that Capcom probably do not want to sell the standard version, neither the standalone DMC3 version.
Was looking forward ot this title for a while. Gonna let her rip on the 360 and see how it goes.
Although i don't disagree w/DMC4 being a AAA title, i don't think it's the first...Burnout Paradise is the first of 08!
i bought this today and im loving it so far. the fighting is much fun. i love it.
We spend sixty dollars to play DMC 1&3 all over again!! Please do not buy this game it is the same as the last three. It is so generic that the new character Nero looks exactly like Dante and plays just like him too. They both have swords and guns and both have the same combo set. I am glad I returned this game. How about some real over the top action like in Heavenly Sword. Dont you guys get sick of killing different versions of the same enemies. How many times can you fight puppets and ice lizards before you say enough. We deserve better than this as gamers. The PS3 and 360 have given developers the power needed to make the games they want without cutting corners but all capcom can come up with is updating the graphics!!! This should be considerd a crime.
