MasonicGamer.com - Prison Architect comes to us from Introversion Software, the studio who created Darwinia, and challenges you to create your very own prison. If this sounds like those games where you create your own town or theme park, that’s because it is, but Prison Architect adds some nice touches that help set it apart from others in the genre.
The first, and most obvious one, is that you’re not out to create a world of fun for the inhabitants, but a world of rules, order, and punishment. The cutesy visuals are a stark contrast to the serious subject matter, and this was certainly part of the game’s charm. Veterans of Sim titles will feel at home with the interface, but find some new and interesting ways to exercise their creativity.

The 'Next Chapter' of Prison Architect could be revealed on January 16, more than a decade after the first game was revealed.
