IGN: And so, at last, we come to the end of our project. Capcom's Resident Evil 6 is set to launch in America on October 2, just one week from tomorrow – but though the wait is a short one now, that release date has been on our mind for the better part of a year. We decided, months ago, to prepare the way for the sixth numbered installment in the on-going RE saga by replaying, in storyline order, all seven previous games in the main series. That's Resident Evil 0. Then the original, then 2, then 3. Then a break in the numbering to jump to Code: Veronica before finishing up with Resident Evil 4 and, today, Resident Evil 5.

Circana data shows Resident Evil 5 as the best selling Resident Evil game in the US, ahead of Resident Evil 4 remake and Village.
So the most successful RE is the one where a white man is killing Africans.
This can't be real.

New leaks from Dusk Golem detail cancelled Resident Evil projects, including a Rebecca focused Revelations game, while stating no Resident Evil 5 remake is in development.
Capcom's willingness to invest in experiments and scrap them sets them apart form many other developers (Nintendo have a similar methodology). Far too often companies push a game setting or game mechanic that is just not that good and the final product is middling or poor.

Dusk Golem claims a Resident Evil 5 remake is not coming this year, with a Code Veronica remake expected instead.
Hopefully if and when they do a RE5 remake, they give it the RE3 remake treatment, because this is certainly one title that I don't want a faithful remake of.
It was a good game to be honest. Mayhaps not really in the "SCARY" category but the co-op was fun. Took me over five months to complete. Why? Because I only played it when my friends came over.
It was a good game.. Action based but i liked it right away & MUCH more than the demo in 6.. It even looked better to me & 6 had way more dev time.. I guess the size of the game compromised the graphics.. I think they shouldve canned weskers son & made leon & chris' portions longer & better looking..
It wasn't too bad. I ended up getting the Platinum.
It was a good game despite it not being a "true" Resident Evil.
It was a hell of a co-op experience, tons of fun, especially Mercenaries. and Wesker was hilarious.
