Demo was very bad.

I was able to finish Leon's demo and I liked the walk and shoot thing; however, Chris' demo was really a shooter. Luckily, I guess, I was still able to finish the demo. Now when I played jake's demo, I had to quit the game at the site of more enemies after you go down the chute. Seriously, I literally felt like my chest was burdened; like I was suffocating, Right then and there I knew that I won't be picking this game up day one.

Capcom, maybe it's time to create a new survival horror game and let RE rest, lest its identity be lost in the possible sequels.

Good to see people here voicing their opinions on without being silenced by people who think it looks like a good RE experience (!?)

If this was a spin-off, admitted so by Capcom, then it would be acceptable. But face facts guys.. this is a main entry to a survival horror series. You can't defend Capcom on this one. They've taken a series that majorly spearheaded survival horror and turned it into a run-of-the-mill action shooter to try and make it appeal to different types of people, instead of series fans.

If we accept this sort of thing, the series is only going to develop in the same direction and become something almost disgusting to see. Remember, you're not a hater if you have genuine concern about the direction of a series you love. Some people just don't seen to give a s**t!

Sad to constantly see people dismissing this game based on a demo + nostalgia goggles.

If this game is anything like 4 and 5 I will love it. Day 1. Don't need to play the demo.

So far out of all the complaints I've seen for RE6 so far are not an issue for me. Allow me to list the complaints I've seen across different forums and here.

1) Controls feel Clunky - This i can understand but i got use to them almost right away. The only aspect that took me a little while to get use to was the dodge system and no tank controls. Other then, its straight forward from there.

2) Cover system is useless and clunky - There is a work around for this. Running towards a object rather it be a Wall or something you can take cover behind, while running towards it and holding L1 you slide and you will automatically get into cover.

3) Graphics look like crap - This doesn't bother me cause i don't care for graphics

4) Inventory system is pointless in the demo - It's great for mixing herbs together which also makes it easier to refill your herb pills.

5) Feels like Gears of War/ COD - This makes me puke every time i hear this. Plays nothing like those 2 games.

6) Moving while shooting feels extremely slow - I can see why people would say this but for me at least isn't an issue. I use it from time to time.

7) Dodge system is crap - Sliding under a table and shooting a zombie while laying on the ground feels great. Rolling to avoid enemy attacks is also great and adds another level strat to the game well at least for me it does.

8) Zombies with Guns - These are not zombies, pay attention to the story.

9) The A.I sucks just like it was in Re5 - Mark targets to make it easier for you so you don't waste ammo.

10) Melee is overpowered - Don't use it then.

I finally (39 years old) understand why my parents complained that everything I got into, from music to TV to books, was a poor, crappy version of the greatness they experienced growing up.

I used to roll my eyes when they knocked my Metallica, or the He-man cartoons I was watching citing they were horrible remakes of what were classics; The Rolling Stones, Mickey Mouse, etc...

We clinch to what we grew up on and look at what the kids of today like and shutter in HORROR at what has been done to what we would call video game perfection. I have lost my Splinter Cell, My COD and now my Resident Evil. When I listen to the crap coming out of my daughter Ipod and when I mention that these new games are abortions of what was once a great game she...(shock) rolls her eyes at me.

Resident Evil 4 was amazing. It walked the fine line of action and surival puzzle horror perfectly. The atmosphere was amazing in that game.

My fav Resident evil is Resident evil 0, though. Game is scary and hard as hell. Such a great challenge, in true Resident Evil fashion.

I remember being in school and thinking about ways to figure out the puzzles I had trouble with. I used to get butterflies from anticipation of getting home and playing and defeating the next stage. That's what video games are about. Games nowadays are too easy and generic, that feeling is lost. The appeal in games today is the chore aspect, ranking up with XP, not the skill and challenge aspect. There is no sense of accomplishment. You finish ranking up or beating a game today and you're left wanting more.

You know the demo isn't really that bad. I do have to admit that I was put off by the controls in the beginning; but the more you play it, the more you start to get a feel for it (I think a little heaviness could have helped). Anyway, the demo should be given more than one chance, playing it smart as opposed to wrecklessly. The addition of the ability to be able to counter is also cool and it adds more excitement to the game. Imagine while shooting an enemy and out of no where another enemy is about to attack you and you counter it smoothly while finishing it off with the final blow...sweet! The demo is really fun, though you may have to play it more than once to realize it. One thing I don't understand is why people keep comparing it to Call of duty and gears of war. It is only a DEMO!

Thanks for the demo, Capcom. Now my decision is made that I am not buying this game.

RE6 demo was shit.

The worst mistake Capcom made on this one is not outsourcing the control scheme to a Western team.

This sort of gameplay (esp now that you can move and shoot) is something this company doesn't have much experience doing. I would highly recommend (if my opinion mattered) they do this and delay the release.

Or else R.I.P Resident Evil for real.

The demo, if representative of the actual game, was fun. However, it wasn't fun enough for a purchase.

I forgot how much companions take away from the tension and suspense.

Ya resident evil sucks the first 3 games are epic. I played the demo for 5 and was shocked at how bad the game was. The weird camera angles and the odd movements. This is one series living off it's name. Resident evil 1 through 3 are classics capcom should have stuck to the formula and just made the graphics and story better. Instead they changed resident evil from a fun creepy game. To a game that no one wants to play anymore.

Camera and cover controls are the worst thing about the demo. It didn't feel as good as 5.

I liked the part where I sat in the car staring at the zombies pound at the window for 10 minutes.

Resi6 demo come out and now they're mad we can move and shoot at the same time and that they got rid of tank controls. And the fact they're comparing it to Call of Duty and Gears is pure comedy. And the zombies with weapons talk ROFL. Those are improved bio weapons not zombies. Look at Nemesis for example. He sometimes had a rocket launcher while chasing you. Hell he even shot down a rescue helicopter so please shut up about bio weapons being able to shoot at you. It's nothing new. Just be glad rescuing Ashley isn't the main objective.

Played the demo again to see if I could find something i like. Nothing I like at all. I still can't get over the fact that the characters know kung-fu and can roundhouse a zombie. This makes the games seem like a JOKE!

People can say what they want about the originals being dated in this day and age but back then THEY WERE LEGIT. No moving/walking/running when you fired your weapon. Meaning you had to decide when to fire or when to run your ass off.

The ammo was very limited and the puzzles were a lot harder.

Nemisis coming out of nowhere when you have no ammo? Too damn bad. You die or run. This series has strayed to far away from it's roots. I refuse to buy any 3D RE game.

I hate the camera, way too damn close, the stupid big boss fight and the OMG so FCKG stupid IA. But I love almost every other things I saw in this demo. The different enemies & environments, lot of zombie, aiming while walking, shooting lying on the floor, graphics, voices.
BUT I will pick it in goty edition because of all the unlocked content/game modes to pay aside... IT's all your fault Capcom..

Hard pass; also the first time I played RE6 was on XB1. Why the re-release? Unless they gave it a 4k 60fps update. Even with that I would never play it again! Quick Time gameplay with prompts?

RE0 is being remade, and there is a movie being made to go along with it!
