Yes, you're not observant if you think it looks exactly the same. It immediately appeared different to me from the start. Mario's 3D model will always be the same, so not much difference there. However, the animation they've given the Super Mario Wonder makes it look more like a CGI Mario animation where as the New Mario Bros game looks more like typical video game animation movements

Yeah I liked how much more emotion could be conveyed through the new style at first glance I didn't see much difference but then rewatching the trailer I'm seeing more and more animations that remind me of the Mario artwork from the manual of smb3
I hated the new super Mario bros Style. This new one seems a lot more expressive and less generic. I hope it's a good game
I prefer the 2d Mario's. Me and my girl have played them all together and mario galaxy , Mario odyssey. The 2nd player option is extremely eh

Its great to see the Nintendo 3DS entertainment system exclusive New Super Mario Bros.2 remains the top selling game in the world today in the wake of other title releasing after. Showing the titles extra long legs on the sales chart. Proving the Super Mario Franchise still has much love and support incoming from the Nintendo Elite fanbase.
On top of that, the Nintendo 3DS entertainment system lands in the top spot on the hardware front as well. The Nintendo brand seems to be growing stronger as time goes along. Which is very positive news for the industry as a whole.

lol if 3rd party cant sell on nintendo systems, why would they develop on it? that shows that nintendo may fall if anything.. Software only company is where its headed if things dont change..

Hardware is not where the real money is unless your charging a premium for it like Apple. Honestly, MS and Sony should work together to come up with a platform spec and build a joint console and focus on game sales.
Looked down the chart and uncharted 3 is at 4.5 million...
