GameSpy - It's all led up to this: Borderlands 2 is just a little more than a week away. Excited? So are we -- we're about to get cracking on our review playthrough to see what's what, once and for all. But before we do, it's time to take a look at Gearbox's much-anticipated loot-driven co-op shooter through the lens of GameSpy's patented anti-hype machine. In the interest of healthy skepticism, here are the lingering questions and concerns about Borderlands 2.

Take-Two: "We know there have been some concerns from Borderlands fans about Take-Two’s Terms of Service. Maintaining transparency and confidence with the community here is always our goal, and we wanted to address some of these concerns."

Ahmad from eXputer: "Borderlands 2's unrivaled storytelling is something that has to lean into the core elements of the next iteration in the Borderlands series."
I'm curious how they are going to do the Siren since they've kind of wrote themselves into a corner regarding the lore.
it will probably be alot like wonderlands, since that is the last borderlands game
but we'll see soon
Most people do. But the people that create the games don't seem to understand that.
I bet it will be even worse than BL3 when it comes to story and character designs.

While gamers usually take notice of the mainline missions, these 5 side quests deserve more widespread attention for how entertaining they are.
FFFUUU! XD I was just about to submit this ;n;
[EDIT: Darn...BBC Code doesn't work on this site.]
I don't really have any concerns for the game.
There are so many improvements that I feel it is a worthy sequel. It has also been a couple/few years since the original Borderlands has been released that they aren't entirely flooding the franchise either.
More of the Same
Doesn't make it all that bad, even if the game hasn't changed entirely. some games have been fine with not doing a whole lot of changes and changing the environment and story/levels. For Borderlands 2 they have added new enemies, fleshed out the classes and even adding (at least) another class after launch, adding customization options and made weapons more varied than before, probably more I just can't think up right now.
Does Driving Still Suck?
I don't mind the driving, for a gamepad I actually preferred it as it was set in third-person view anyways. For PC, everything felt slightly clunky. The only downside (as people have stated and I agree with) is about the guns and running stuff over was ridiculous :P
Is the Story Better?
Probably, but that's just pure speculation by myself at this point. They are using a bigger budget and hopefully the story has been fleshed out better. The ending to the first one was a bit anti-climactic to
***SPOILER***
not know there wasn't at least a small trace of the vault in the end but finding out there wasn't one there after all.
***END SPOILER***
Still No Level Scaling
This kind of sucks still but I don't mind it not working that way (I'm probably going to be playing alone though on PC anyways :/).
But for those who outplay their friends it will probably be detrimental on all levels to stay evened out. If I were to play a character with a friend I'd make sure not to touch that character and play someone else probably or an identical one so I can use one for Co-Op/Multi and another for Single-Player.
DLC Overload
The expansions being 10$ a whack were entirely worth it if you can justify the content and the humor :D, especially voice acting and setting. It was all phenomenal except for Mad Moxxi's Underdome (my opinion as I never picked it up on 360 when I had it for the console). That DLC is like chipping away at a brick wall with a chisel. it's fun and innovative but I wish there could have been drops since you don't earn experience, and what's the use of adding a bank if nothing keep-able drops? (unless it's near the end...? I don't know) And it was mostly for a co-op arena wave experience, but no doubt is still fun if you're able to or into lengthy play durations.
Anyways, the character coming out in a month will be entirely worth the money (and is free if you pre-order, which hopefully everybody knows if they can, or else pay 10$) if you want or need a new character to get you to play through the game again, especially with a new skill tree. Gearbox hasn't really let us down in DLC because each one that came out for the original Borderlands was and is top-notch. They give us something that is worth our money (as everything stands now). Hopefully this game will do the same. :)
