One of the most often maligned entries in the Final Fantasy series deserves another visit.

Square Enix has announced multiple classic Final Fantasy titles will receive physical releases this December;including Final Fantasy VII, VIII and IX.
Why can’t they just do a cool classic collection with VII, VIII and IX in with some goodies similar to what they did with the Pixel Remaster.
Weird that 7 and 8 are together for 40 and 9 is 40 on it's own.
8 should be the one on it's own as it actually has redone models.
I have ff8 ps4 remastered physical euro version. They should have put these on PS5 physically so lame.
I'm actually so tired of hearing about FFIX. Just replayed it with Moguri Mod earlier this month. That might as well be the definitive version.

While a lot (like way too many) games launch in sorry states these days, a lot of them do eventually get polished up over time fixes. The same can’t be said for these properly broken games.
Cyberpunk and No Mans Sky are obviously the 2
best comeback stories. Cyberpunk is literally one of the best RPGs ever made now.
junctioning is only broken now because it's been datamined which monster which gives which card and which card gives which items and every single spell to junction with the highest points for each stat. For it's time when that info wasn't readily available it was good, not without it's flaws, but not broken,
i mean, ff8 is not "broken" per se, its just that the junction system is too good and easily exploited even an hour into the game. haha
Star Wars Jedi Survivor is one of them. I can’t get in the Cantina bar later on in the game. The door and other doors throughout the environment is locked off. It is a shame, because I wanted to complete the game, but I can’t until they fix it.

Gary Green said: Tempting as it is to dedicate our first installment of PlayStation Icons to a franchise-leader like Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, or even Sackboy, instead I’m choosing a character that I, like so many others, connected with on a personal level. He’s a moody, world-weary teen, a proud loner with no time for the drama of others, and yet he’s also a hero just waiting for the motivation to unleash his full potential. He’s a warrior. He’s a leader. He’s the king of internal monologues. It’s time to meet Squall Leonhart.
This is the best one, period
FF VIII redefined Final Fantasy, the gameplay mechanics of VIII, are the best ever seen in the series, as was the GF's (which I call any summon from FF's after VIII) Eden (greatest GF to ever exist in a FF game) Bahamut, Leviathan, Doomtrain, etc... The limit breaks were (and still are) amazing, especially Squall's and Zell's. FF VIII just offered hours and hours of fun, that kept players on their toes. It also contains one of the hardest bosses in the series, Ultimecia. The way VIII was structured was perfect, and I have yet to see a FF game after it match it.
I never finished it but now I think ill buy it for vita...
The best FF period, the first one that gave SE the reputation of offering the games with the best graphics and CGs, the first realistic characters in the series, the best FF couple in Squall and Rinoa, the first to not made use of swap pallette monsters and 99% of them being unique in Design, the best Final Battle, the best enemies (The hardest malboro to date), the best GF (Diablo and Eden for the Win) and the best ability system in the Junction System.
Its simply an amazing game.
i had a gamesave for ff 8 just before the final boss and my GF saved over it accidently,i am replaying it on the vita and it is seriously the best way to play it, short of an hd remake.
