Okugi Studio developer and CEO, Sophie Peseux, spoke with Indie Game HQ to discuss their recently released game Shad’O as well as touch upon the development process. Shad’O is a unique tower defense game that has you defend against the fog as you try to restore you memory. This fog was apparently the most time consuming and resource intensive part of development, and it appears as though they perfected it. The game is a tower defense game unlike any other on the market currently.
Default Prime's Kaitlyn Shapiro: "Shad’O is an indie tower defense game with unique visuals and an intriguing story. While some minor gripes mar the game, it boasts solid design principles and an appealing Tim Burton-esque aesthetic."
Destructoid: "Shado'O offers a solid tower defense experience, albeit one that doesn't take advantage of its unique setting and story. While mechanically sound, despite some frustrations when it comes to unit placement around the fog, it's nothing you probably haven't played before."
