These people got skills to do what they do. When is the GDC? Now Im hoping for a demonstration of the single player or sometype of video for the game to get a lot of people drooling. I honestly switched my most anticipated games to RFOM2 and FFXIII. A FPS and RPG

I assume that they have seperate teams working on each games. While they were working on Tools of Destruction, the Same resistance team was already working on Resisntace 2. And while they're working on Resistance 2, the Ratchet team is working on the next iteration of that. There's also some members of the Insomniac team working on Little Big Planet as well.

Ive said on here and always believed that more than 24 players in a fps is over kill but if they do split it up into small squad based battles that have specific holding points and jobs then that could be cool. Something like Planetside would be good. I didnt like the first game at all but this could be a second game for my ps3 yay

I wish they would release it already, that's the part I care most about. Hell, why not turn it into episodic content? That way they can focus on optimizing the engine as much as possible for the first episode, so that the game can be released as fast as it can be. Damn it, why wait until november if it's DONE already? That's a waste of time.

I rather have resistance single player for $25, co-op for $25 and multi for $25 and the optional bundle for $60. That way Sony can instantly make money instead of waiting (and losing interest) and those that want everything or the rest will get it, eventually.

what or who the cloven are?. I read someone mention it but i don't know. Anyways. Great to hear that the SP is done. I doubt they have polished it yet though.

kinda wish I played Resistance on multiplayer mode now.... I didn't have any friends that have a PS3 when I bought mine and was too shy to go online and get my ass handed to me......

But the good thing is that now my friends, who all use to own 360's ( I know, I don't hold it against them as I have one too), are starting to convert back to the PS3.... I've got 2 buddies now that are playing the game as they just recently bought the console... I'm psyched about this game!!!

Well Rachet was probably done by a relatively small portion of the team. I mean it prettymuch was just a graphics update of the same kind of game.

Great article and i read it twice!!! Its great to be a PS3 owner right now. This game is my most anticipated game of this year including MGS4 and Gears of War 2. I just hope this game will blow UNCHARTED away, sorry but i do admit that i'm a graphic whore

Has their been any word on the weapons of the game? I loved the weapons of the first game and found all had their uses for different situations. It's one of the major things that has disappointed me about Turok, where's the cerebral bore etc etc.

We've been using machine guns and shotguns for years let's see something new and a little different.

EDIT: Doh, I didn't read the second page where it describes 3 of the guns. One of which (the medic character) sounds pretty cool.

That reminded me that along with the Ratchet and Clank crew, the peeps form SOCOM were working on Resistance also, or at least some of them...something like that.

With that being said, co-op and multiplayer will be awesome, especially with the mission based squads, if anyone has played any SOCOM games online, you know how much fun and how good the multiplayer/co-op missions are - I wonder if they will put the ability to dance over your dead enemies in, that would be wonderful.

And I hope in co-op they ditch the push L3 to talk thing, it would be way to hard to give out info with tons on enemies shooting at you and while trying to run you gotta push L3 to communicate.

And no friendly fire in co-op please! I tried that in 16v16 TDM on Resistance 1 and there's always that one...

One thing I don't really understand about it though is the community thing. It sounds like the same things they did with the first game, minus dedicated servers. Hopefully Home will play a huge roll in the game or something, I don't know how it would work though, but there are plenty possibilities.

But I cannot get into the original game. I purchased it but it seams like a sub par shooter to me.
However I did not even finish the first stage yet, i got bored. Does the game get better? I am hoping that it is just slow to start out.

Yeh I got Resistance and Motorstorm for £2 each with my PS3 which costed £326. =D

Resistance when I started, I just hated it to no end but as I got through it. It got better and better, although I'm stuck on this one place at the moment and I'll get back to it someday.

the Single Player Campaign is already complete. OMG!!!! these guys are the peopel i wana work for... and when they completed rachet they said that all there games will run at 60FPS... an FPS of this calibur at 60 FPS... and rachet barely dipped below 59... My word that incredible. i simply cant wait... if they follow the same pipeline as ratchet, They will have a demo on The PSN in october... like october 4th ^^, man i cant wait at all, i need to see a trailer and some gameplay NOW...

Resistance 3 was such a FREAKING good game. It was a shame that the market was flooded with quality stuff at that time, because I'm pretty sure it was overlooked by MANY (plus, I was in gaming retail at the time, so I KNOW it was overlooked by many).

I only played 1 and 2. I preferred 2. I thought the campaign was great, although it did have too much influence from COD. The online was a lot of fun, especially the 8-player coop campaign.

That series deserves a remaster collection, as does Warhawk.

Tough choice here. I only played the 3 main titles but I loved them all very much and for different reason. I definitely played 1 more than the other ones, but that was because early PS3 life cycle there wasn't much else I was interested in besides MotorStorm.

2 had the really interesting, ahead of its time co-op (if it had been on 360 it would be constantly talked about still, but games journalists really didn't acknowledge multiplayer games on PS3 and really only acknowledged single player games from Naughty Dog). But the campaign in 2 was just bad. It clearly suffered from trying to be more like the games coming out around it (mostly COD) rather than embracing the spirit of more classic FPS games like 1 and 3 did so well.

4. Resistance: Burning Skies (good Vita shooter actually)

All good games but Resistance 3 has the best weapons, the most polish, 3D TV support, and a great ending to the series.

Fall of Man still holds a special place in my heart, but 2 and 3 were still very good. I miss those games.

Great trilogy. Loved the second game the most with its colorful graphics and the setting. Wish Insomniac would either make a trilogy remaster for PS5 or a new game in the series.

For me, 3, 1, 2. Never played the portable one, but I always used to hear about how good it was.

R:Fom, R2, then the its not even a sequel so I don't know why its called R3...

Are people saying R3 CoD fans? Cuz mp completely abandoned its roots, it was a terrible CoD wannabe.. Story was an abomination as well, stupid ending too....

R2 story was great, loved the live action stuff pre release. gameplay for it was a complete step back, the first one I felt like I was a part of the war, R2 you may as well have not had allies cuz every enemy was only focused on you. AMAZING ahead of its time Coop saved this game. MP was kinda meh, also a step backwards, gameplay changes for it were handled poorly.

R:FOM had some unpolished unfinished rough edges. You could definitely tell it was rushed. But story premise was freaking amazing, and playing with a buddy and stuff going on all over the place, I really felt a part of a war. Best MP in the series hands down, really inventive and different from everything else out there at that time and really to this day honestly.

I would love to have a new entry in this series!

I loved this game.

Resistance 2 was the best complete package for a shooter, along with Modern Warfare 2. Even though some people disliked the single player, as an action game I'd say it was better than any of the Call of Duty campaigns, which used to be pretty great.

Resistance: Fall of Man was one of my first online gaming experiences and one of my favourites, 40 players on the Manchester Cathedral map was so much fun. I would love this series to come back, even if it was a collection it deserves more than being stranded on PS3.

I loved the resistance games and it would probably be a factor in getting me to go search for a ps5 if they ever made a sequel

Resistance was the reason i bought a PS3. I wish they didn't end it early in 3. From what i understand they were supposed to keep it going and we would have gotten to see the chimera planet and the pure chimera but Insomniac said they got bored of making the same type of game so they gave it the ending in 3 so they could move on.

Remakes, Remasters, Reboot, sequels.....I’ll take anything, just anything they wanna throw at us fans of the series. Too good a franchise to lie dormant while the technical enhancements of the PS5 are ripe and ready to make our eyes bleed, with an in-house Insomniac pushing the boundaries.
