GameInformer- The Elder Scrolls franchise rolls out new entries every few years, and each one gains new steam with the gaming public. Last year’s Skyrim was one of the most critically and commercially successful games of the year, and the upcoming Elder Scrolls Online promises to further expand the fanbase. Today, we’re leaping into the future to concoct a formula for what we’d like to see in The Elder Scrolls VI.

Todd Howard opens up on Starfield's hard development, confirms Bethesda is targeting wider hardware scalability for TES VI and future games.

A decade on from its Game of the Year-winning triumph, Todd Howard reminisces on how Fallout 4 changed Bethesda Game Studios, its TV show adaptation and playtesting The Elder Scrolls 6.
They need to look at Morrowind and see what the progression should have been from there instead of the regression we got with the next 2 games. They weren’t horrible games but they could have been so much more.
Fallout 4 just felt too streamlined and accessible to me, the perk system was not as fun as it was in Fallout 3, not saying Fallout 3 didn't have issues but 4 just felt like a complete step back.
So the part where you just sold the same games for the last 10 years while you focused on 76 and merch, was not a reset from the "creative" aspect eh? How very Todd of you.
I bought Fallout 4 (I loved Fallout 3) at launch and I couldn't bring myself to finish it or even get close to finishing it. It was soooo damned boring and bland. I played on a very hard difficulty and I had hundreds of stimpaks. One of the only games I've played for a while and not ended up finishing it. I hated it. Just flat out hated it.

It's been officially over 2,500 days since The Elder Scrolls 6 was revealed, and fans are still waiting for more than a logo and a mountain range.
It will come out in another 1000-2000 days or so. I’d rather they remake Morrowind. After they added quest arrows, sprint button, making stats lesser and the big nerfs to spells Elder Scrolls has been too simplified. They could change that with ES6 but I don’t have much faith in modern Bethesda. I would love to be wrong
"Akavir"
Although it would be a new and exciting land to explore, whats the point when we still havent visted other places in Tamriel.
For me I would like the Elder Scrolls 6 to take place in Valenwood and Elsweyr. With it being a new gen I'm pretty sure they can make a map big enough to include to regions, I mean just one of those two regions wouldn't be big enough as Skyrim or Cyrodil, besides it would be nice to see a drastic scene in scenary, culture and traditions when crossing over from one region to the next...from the rainforests and tropical setting of Valenwood to the jungles and great forests of Elsweyr it would be amazing.
"Build-A-Home"
With the new DLC doing this already I would like to see the next game expand on it even futher to the point where we can set up a home anywhere we like as long as we have the money and tools to do so. There needs to be more options available to you to make each home look and feel differn't...think of the home DLCs for Oblivion. If I'm a mage I should be able to create a massive tall tower, if I'm a Warrior I should be able to build a well structured castle.
"Co-op"
No, no and no
This is a great single player franchise where you can lay back after a hard days work and loose your self in the massive land of fantasy. What I don't want is to realise Bethesda have payed more attention to the co-op then the single player. Most people think it's not that hard to add co-op..."it's only letting us join our friends game", you obviously don't know how much work would have to go into that, hell even Bethesda said themselfs that it would ruin the single player.
I mean why don't you think about it logicaly for a minute, Bethesda can't even make an Elder Scroll game without bigs, especialy to the PS3. Imagine the bugs that would be created thanks to co-op...they would focus on those first and ignore the game breaking single player bugs. Would you really want that.
Some games just don't need co-op...please just let this one go.
What I would like to see in this game is the return of some of the stuff they got rid of. I want to see a return of Acrobats and Athletics, merge them into one skill which proves it's worth to Thiefs by that I mean let our skills change our gameplay. For example lets say we have a mission where we need to climb a wizards tower to get an item, a warrior/mage would battle their way through the tower but I think if your Athletics is high enough you should be able to do an "Assassins Creed" and scale the tower your self from the outside to complete your goal quicker, hell maybe you could use this skill to outwit guards when being pursued.
For the Mage they need to make it worth investing time to be one, the whole "recharge" thing puts me off being one. They should make staffs hard to get/find but have unlimited power. Ones early on in the game are weak and useless meaning you would still rely on your magic but ones you improve or find once you've reached a high skill, for example, "Level 50 Destruction" should be more powerful. I just don't understand how they got rid of weapons breaking, the warriors equivalent of the Mages recharge feature but didn't remove that aswell. Oh and they also need more magic aswell...the destuction skill is pathetic...fire, frost and shock, no posion attacks, wind, water, dark, psychic attacks.
Theres so much they could do with the Elder Scrolls, if Bethesda listened more to their fanbase instead of trying to capture new fans by dumbing the game down and making it more accesible then we would of had most of the features by now.
I just want to finish this current elders scroll game first. I just hate the fact others want a new one already. Come on really
I do not care were it is set. Lets finish this current one first
wishlist: Bethseda actually making a good game with an interesting story and no bugs. Oh wait that will never happen because they suck at making games.
The bugs really are a problem. The game is still broken with even the latest pc update. Im now stuck for the 7 th time on a quest I can't complete. I have been stuck in walls more then a few times. Even fallout did not have this many bugs.
Hope vi have better story(no dragon) and more powerfull side quests.
