I played it a little years ago. It was fun but I had children after I started playing and gave it up so my wife wouldn’t hate me. I got to 50 and then hung it up
Arenanet is doing smthn wrong with marketing, I never once seen an ad for a gw2 expansion and always hear it like this once an expac is already released. Not that I would play it cause I'm a gw1 purist haha

Atleast they are doing something, i hate how Aion and Linage II are full with GOLD spam bots. And they are doing nothing to prevent that.
As for the exploit, nice how they don't mention the number of items people bought to get the perma bans.
"We want to thank the vast majority of players who became aware of the issue, responsibly reported it, and did not exploit it. However, a smaller group of players did significantly exploit it, each purchasing hundreds or thousands of these weapons. We permanently banned 3,000 accounts of players who substantially exploited it, and applied 72-hours bans to another 1,000 accounts of players who mildly exploited it."
As for swearing. While annoying, WoW has done the exact same thing even though it has a filter as well.

They are even giving players the chance to have their accounts unbanned if they delete the items they got from the exploit... but nice of them.
