My Darksiders 2 Experience

"Darksiders 2, Vigil Games hack-and-slash RPG fusion has been a prominent figure within the video game community as of late. As a fan of the original, and one that occasionally hops on the bandwagon of mass appeal, I added the game to my “must play” list.

After 25 hours of dungeon crawling, creature slaying, and loot collecting, I completed Darksiders 2 (with plenty of collectibles still to attain). I previously wrote an article before its release called Why Darksiders 2 Will Rock Your World. While it was quite an entertaining ride, I’m not quite sure if the experience reached that level of admiration." GamerGirlTay

I just finished Darksiders 2 a few days ago and I'm excited to try it out on Apocalyptic mode.

Random question. Since there are 4 horsemen, is the Darksiders series going to have a total of four games? That's a lot for a game like this.

Hellsvacancy4990d ago

I started on Apocalyptic, its not that hard at all, later it gets mean, but overall, its a breeze

And the devs said if D2 sells well theyll make a third game

ApolloTheBoss4990d ago

Not sure. Maybe if a third one is made both the other two horsemen will be playable, or all four of them will be playable with co-op. We'll just have to wait and see.

Into 40+ hours and fkng game freezes in the spot where we need to search for samael. Tried 8 to 9 times and same spot it froze. Now it's freezing if i just load the save game. Buggy as hell on 360. Waiting for the patch to fix it up. Wont get DS3 if they dont fix this.

Google it and see how many frustrated people are out there. Never had prob with DS1.

The structure of the game is pretty boring so far. I think I'm over 60%. But so far it's "go here, go there, collect 3 this, collect 3 that" but the story doesn't exactly progresses at all. It kinda stagnates. I hope it gets better...

Super_ike4989d ago

i know exactly how you feel, the game's story was stretched waaay to thin across the game. i love puzzles in my games but DS2 definitely over did it

ChickeyCantor4989d ago

A few hours after I commented, I finished the game. My reaction? : "meh".

Also I can't believe they pulled a Jesus at the end. LOL.

Because the PS4 has slow loading times I do prefer PS5 versions of games. The PS5 does load PS4 games faster but with a native PS5 version it loads much faster and it looks a bit better and better draw distance and such. So for me , I do want these 3rd releases for certain games and this is one of them. It’s one of my favorite PS3 games. Nobody is forced to buy it. It is not hurting anyone and it gives devs more money to make future games. These re-releases aren’t selling millions but it’s nice for people like me or people who never played the game.

It's a free upgrade for anyone that owns the PS4 and I'm assuming Xbox one version digitally.

I came back to add that it was free. Hard to be upset about a free upgrade. I would like to have a PS5 physical copy but it’s better than nothing

An intro to Biomutant

Alex & Mike talk Biomutant, a game from Experiment 101/THQ Nordiq you likely have not heard of. While the AAA side of the industry tends to homogenization and imitative, cinematic presentation, “AA” games remain creative and innovative in 2021. Drawing on inspirations as varied as Dark Souls, third person shooters & kung fu cinema, Biomutant is Ratchet & Clank on acid, developed by a team of 20 people.
