Final Fantasy Dimensions has just been released by Square Enix on iOS and Android, the latest chapter in a string of Final Fantasy games for the mobile market. Players can follow the tale of either the “Warriors of Light” or the “Warriors of Dark”, in what promises to be an overall adventure that promises 35 – 40 hours of gameplay. Taking the form of individual episodes, akin to Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, the game is split up into 5 Chapters, with the Prologue being offered for free. Chapter 1 is available for $2.99 USD, and Chapters 2 – 4 are available for $9.99 USD each. Alternatively, all 5 Chapters can be downloaded for $28.99 USD.

Jason Dietz: "We reveal the past year's best and worst video game publishers (based on their 2025 releases) in the 16th edition of our annual Game Publisher Rankings."
But... but... the garbage-mongers always tell us that Square Enix is in trouble! 😂

Square Enix announced its financial results for the first nine months of the fiscal year, related to the period between April and December 2025.

3D Investment Partners, a major shareholder of Square Enix, issued a 112-page presentation criticizing the company's 'sluggish' revenue and profit margins.
Waaah waaah our profits aren't big enough! I mean, they're still growing and all, but we want it faster and NOW! Waaaah!
this deserves more than a mini rant
Sensible point, but this is just as much a sign that Square is relying upon - exploiting - brand recognition on setting their prices.
A lesser know developer wouldn't charge as much even though they put as much if not more work into their titles.
ok... gonna download it and see if this game deseves all the bad news...
played 10 minutes of it... character doesn't seem too interesting at the moment, they should have had little portraits of charactersnjust so you could relate to the character a little more.
graphics look like crap on my ipad 2 so ipad with retina display probably will look like puke.
controls are pretty decent, like the idea that you can touch anywhere to get the d-pad controls out. however i still prefer having physical buttons.
maybe this game will turn out great, but just feels like they didnt pay much attention and made the game on rpgmaker.
but if they decided to charge so much, then the story must be bloody good.
