While Renegade Kid is best known for developing titles for the Nintendo DS and 3DS, the studio’s port of Mutant Mudds marks its first foray into the PC scene. While this may catch some gamers by surprise (to my knowledge, this is the first PC port of a 3DS game), you’ll be glad to know that Max’s transition from the small screen to the big one goes off without a hitch.
If you’re a fan of platformers, especially old-school ones, you would be doing yourself a great disservice if you skipped out on Mutant Mudds. As for those who already played the 3DS version, if you’re remotely interested in trying out the new levels, don’t hesitate to double-dip.

Limited Run Games has announced Mutant Mudds and Yooka-Laylee tabletop games, both of which are available for pre-order until early September 2021.

Development studio Renegade Kid is shutting down after its two co-founders have decided to go their separate ways. They will both continue to develop games.
Very sad news, because they made some great games. I do have to wonder though if the closing has anything to do with them not making many games for systems other than Nintendo ones. Because sadly not many people have been buying games on Nintendo one recently.
