SegmentNext-On the cover Sleeping Dogs may appear to several people as an Asian version of GTA 4. There are many fair reasons for a person to believe as such. Sleeping dogs do indeed share many similarities with GTA 4.

United Front Games developed a really unique experience with Sleeping Dogs, and it still holds up. Unfortunately, any hope at a sequel hinges on it getting more popular almost a decade later.

Shang-Chi star Simu Liu is working to revive the Sleeping Dogs movie and hopes its success could lead to a long-awaited Sleeping Dogs sequel.
Please do. One of my favorite games from that gen. A man who never eats pork bun is never a whole man!
Square has their own GTA and they haven't bothered making a sequel. Yet they're wasting money on nfts and live service crap.

Huzaifah from eXputer: "Sleeping Dogs from the early 2010s is one of the best open-world games out there but in dire need of a resurgence."
You say "yet" as if it's even possible anymore. United Front Games is gone, along with anyone that made this game what it is
That’s what happens when games sell poorly. And I’ve seen people wonder why people cry when a game sells badly… this is your answer.
Sleeping Dogs was a sleeper hit back then. It was fantastic. It actually still is. Would love a sequel to this, or at least a revive of True Crime series.
GTA 5 is going to kill in sales but this Sleeping dogs sound good liked all the GTAs but im going to give this Sleeping dogs a chance CANT WAIT!!
More ppl will buy GTA 5 but I got a feeling sleeping dogs will be a better game
It's pretty strange to compare Sleeping Dogs to a 4-year old game, but I guess that just shows how high Rockstar has set the standards. The only things I prefer in Sleeping Dogs are the melee combat and the movement/parkour. Everything else GTA IV is miles ahead in - driving, environmental detail, physics, voice acting, dialogue, overall presentation values/polish, you name it. That's not to say Sleeping Dogs is a bad game though, quite the contrary. It's probably my favorite non-Rockstar open world game this gen.
Well of course SD might do something better. It was made 4 years later.
GTA V will be released and 5 years from now everyone will go "what is sleeping dogs ? Never heard of it "
Not that it's a bad game. It's been getting good reviews, but I still think those reviews might change or could be altered once they see what this current gen open world is really supposed to be like.
