Is Mass Effect 3's Leviathan DLC Worth It?

GameInformer- BioWare hasn't been idle when it comes to Mass Effect 3. Since the game's release in March, the company has release multiple DLC packs that expand the multiplayer elements. Plus, there's that whole thing with the ending. The content isn't stopping there; today BioWare released Leviathan, the first piece of paid, single-player DLC. You probably beat Mass Effect 3 when it originally released, and then again when the extended cut for the ending came out. Is Leviathan good enough to warrant suiting up as Shepard again?

Does anyone still feel like paying Bioware any amount of money for anything? Really?

mochachino5057d ago

Totally agree, I just passed Mass Effect 2 on insanity without ever changing the difficulty and the achievement didn't unlock. I'm never buying a Bioware game again or giving them any money.

mochachino5057d ago (Edited 5057d ago )

I broke my couch armrest from hitting it so much. Now every time I think of Bioware I feel angry and disappointed so I'm definitely not supporting them again.

I'm not the only one that this happened to apparently, I'm sure they've lost a few fans from a simple achievement glitch. Pays to properly program some things.

I used to be the biggest Bioware supporter too, I had KOTOR, Jade Empire, DA, ME1-3. Now they can go F themselves until the end of time.

Moby-Royale5057d ago (Edited 5057d ago )

Because you didn't get an achievement. Wow.

Out of all the legitimate beefs that fans/former fans have brought up....
After seemingly enjoying all of their releases, you swear them off.

Your ONE complaint is an achievement?

Just.... wow.

Vortex3D5057d ago

That is why games should NOT have any achievement or trophy. I like the old days when someone plays the hardest difficulty or go out of the way to do certain things in the games, it was because the games were fun. Nowadays, most gamers do it mostly for the achievement and trophy.

NexGen5057d ago (Edited 5057d ago )

I feel your pain. The same happened to me, minus all the rage you're going through

InTheLab5057d ago

I wouldn't break anything but I understand.

@the people giving Mochachino greef..

What's the purpose of playing that s*** on insanity if not for an achievement? Challenge? If you're looking for that in a TPS, Mass Effect is not the game for that.

Mass Effect usually has some really good downloadable content. When I bought the game of the year edition of Mass Effect 2 with "Lair of the Shadow Broker" and "Stolen Memories," They were pretty amazing. And Lair of the Shadow Broker gave you so much free S#!+! 8D

One question is how often from now on for Bioware to release more ME3 story based DLCs. They spent the 1st 5 months releasing Multiplayer DLCs which were great but the longer they wait, the less interest in the story DLC because most have moved on to other games.

I haven't played the story for months and only played the multiplayer. Yesterday, I started a new single player game and almost forgot how to play in "single player" style.

NeXXXuS5057d ago

To tell you the truth, I never got to play the multiplayer. I was borrowing my copy of Mass Effect 3 but I loved the story and everything that they did with it. But that ending... DX

IronFistChinMi5057d ago

Depends on how interested you are in The Reapers and what could be involved in future ME games that take place after ME3. I'm very interested and say it's worth it, but they should have done more with the underwater segment.

DarthJay5057d ago

I loved it. I have a walkthough of it up on Youtube. If you don't want to give Bioware money, that's cool, I can support that, but they did a really good job with it the story. There are plot holes and a few times you want to smack Shepard for being so dense, but all in all, it made me go "whoa."

IronFistChinMi5057d ago

Do you talk about the plot-holes on your walkthrough? Post a link please?

DarthJay5057d ago

So plot holes may have been a strong word, but there were definitely some parts that jumped out at me. Don't mean to hijack, but my walk through is here

Bro missing companions: Legion, Grunt, Samara/Morinth, Javik, EDI

anast573d ago

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

RiseNShine573d ago

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast573d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman573d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier
