If you are playing one of those professions and you want to create items that you can use, then you'll want to consider taking up the Armorsmith discipline. This discipline focuses on creating heavy armor and upgrades for armor that has open upgrades slots available. Guild Wars Insider has just published a guide to this discipline.

Arenanet is doing smthn wrong with marketing, I never once seen an ad for a gw2 expansion and always hear it like this once an expac is already released. Not that I would play it cause I'm a gw1 purist haha
