A fan-made mod for Dark Souls on PC has fixed the game's rendering resolution.
Eyebrows were raised earlier this month when Digital Foundry discovered the game's PC port to be locked at 1024x720, offering no improvement over its console brethren.
"From Software has admitted in advance that there have been technical issues, but this is still quite surprising," Digital Foundry's Tom Morgan wrote.
"This lower resolution doesn't bring out the fantastic visual design going into the game, where we'd hoped a PC version would take it to new heights. It's quite likely this will draw the ire of PC gamers expecting the premium experience. That is, until an official patch or heroic modder comes to the rescue."
Step forward such a fan.

Is the OoT screenshot a comp of hyrule field with the Windows Vista desktop layered over the foreground?

Bandai Namco has released its latest financial report, revealing that the Dark Souls series has reached around 40 million units combined.

Before Elden Ring and Bloodborne, FromSoftware's talents for all things creepy and chilling gave Dark Souls an atmosphere unlike any other.
This feels like the epitome of a 'tepid take'. Dark Souls has always worn its gothic horror influences on its sleeve, it isn't exactly subtle.
Either the developers are retarded or they purposely limted the PC version so its close to the console version.
Either way an 80kb DLL file fixes what the developer was claiming difficult to do. Wonder how retarded a Studio would have to be to not be able to give higher resolutions or perhaps its just pressure from console makers, who dont want PC version looking much better.

You still think they give a fk about customers? :)
Funny seeing all those screenies being posted with 999 Estus Flasks. Truly weak.
