Which Console Had This Week's Best DLC?

The console war is fought everywhere these days, but the internet seems to be where people are most vocal. It also serves to give each console its own set of downloadable content, fuelling the war even more. Each week we'll give you a run-down of what's available to download on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii, and declare a winner.

Note: This round-up is based on UK releases to each console's online service. Releases outside of the UK could vary.

depends on one thing, your opinion, and gamer status like a fanboy, if a console had 3000 new good expansions in one month and the other 50, a fanboy would defend the 50 and say its better

Weak DLC for the Wii, why is this crap still selling?

Kyur4ThePain6675d ago

No. More like each week you're going to be controversial and get hits.

Blademask6675d ago

Now the console wars have moved to DLC?

Winner:

The console that has the free network to get DLC.

Dr Pepper6675d ago

"Winner:

The console that has the free network to get DLC."

So all three consoles? Because all three let you have access to their respective "marketplaces" for free right?

ArmrdChaos6675d ago (Edited 6675d ago )

All of the mentioned items for the 360 are available to the FREE xbox silver account...although the GRAW multiplayer maps are of less use if you are not able to play online with them.

This type of crap is pretty pointless...what's next...which system has the best packing materials???

moparful996675d ago

Yes xbox live silver accounts can access the dl content... but wait there's another side to this story. You're forgetting that silver accounts now have to wait a week after the content launches because microsoft wants the make it seem like a benefit to "upgrade" to the paid gold membership. So unless you're paying the subscription fees for gold you're not getting any of this content this week. Hmmm makes ya think....

Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.

They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

solideagle13d ago

they should know that we are OG fans of VIII as it sold truckload as well. not as much as VII or X. I personally didn't like IX but X and VI are my personal fav.

Shadow Hearts 2 covenant is another game I love. I hope one day someone can make remake, I would be delighted

Final Fantasy VIII is great and you are always the first to defend it in the comments

Crazy to think the WII is to the Switch 2, as the NES was to the WII back then. 20 Year difference.

jznrpg19d ago

My wife asks me to bust it out (heh) everyone once in a while to play bowling and tennis with the kids. There was a ton of slop on it but some good stuff as well.

Smellsforfree19d ago

Wii was great but boy howdy did it cause Microsoft to go on a dark walk with the Kinect and the disastrous XBox One launch that they arguably never recovered from.

Loktai19d ago

Not nostalgic for me.. I was there.. anyone who wasnt a little kid realized it was a gamecube with shit tacked onto it, it was the "joke" system and was well below even the switch in terms of comparing it to the latest machines at the time. The machine was well loved by young people and "casual gamers" who now remember it 20 years on, or in most cases more of its sales came in the 15-20 years ago range not right at launch- but again its not nostalgic for people who were "gamers" then really, just for those who ended up with one in their house, the games , graphics, interface and online features were archaic already in 2006.

"Gaming’s Biggest Fighting Franchise"

Press X to (seriously) doubt.

DarXyde20d ago

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.

Soy21d ago

And then MK1 killed it again.

DivineHand12520d ago (Edited 20d ago )

15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.
