TouchArcade: SolaRola [$0.99], a 2D platformer from Square Enix, has a lot going for it. It's charming, accessible, and realistic physics that players manipulate to solve increasingly complex puzzles. Unfortunately, it's also rather bland.

GameDynamo - "Running off a lighthearted-yet-barebones plot involving two space-traveling blobs who eventually have to save the universe from a malevolent fiend, in SolaRola you control your circular hero and navigate him through sixty 2D stages spread across six alien worlds."
AppSpy: Perhaps more suited to younger players, Solarola has you playing a rolling alien blob jumping around worlds, avoiding goo, and reaching the level's goal. It lacks that something special, and the sound effects certainly don't help matters.

AppGamer: Square Enix's Solarola isn't a new game. It originally started life as an early mobile game prior to the success of apps and smartphones. Can this new version roll from mobile to Smartphone successfully? The short answer is yes, it can.
