None of them are in game. I have been playing it quite a bit the past few days and while it is a good game with loads of potential, it sure is fugly.

WeskerChildReborned5019d ago

The thing i didn't like about the beta when it came out was that it took sometimes a whole clip to kill someone and the reloading was pretty slow.

HammadTheBeast5019d ago

They haven't pulled out all the stops with graphics yet in order to keep the download size small at the moment for beta testers. But maps look great imo.

DeadlyFire5018d ago

I wouldn't worry. By the time it releases it will be looking awesome.

Beta/Alpha builds of game are used to test its primary functions mostly to see what works and what doesn't. Textures get final polish in the last couple of builds before launch.

telekineticmantis5019d ago

I'm not hearing any news about a Beta, or demo yet... what's going on?

JAM_brz5019d ago

the Beta is out now, at least for Plus subscribers

Ducky5019d ago

Closed beta has been going on for quite some time (since before E3)

telekineticmantis5019d ago

I'm talking about a Beta or Demo for myself and the rest of the community

Ducky5019d ago

Open beta might be later.

They don't have to worry about selling their game because it is Free-to-Play anyways.
They do however need community feedback in order to make a good game, and that's what the closed beta does.

Daver5018d ago

@tele

Beta is not suppose to sell game either....

the latest update has upgraded the graphics quite a bit but it still doesnt look like this. Its still slightly sluggish to play but is getting better every update. while its not the best shooter Fps i have played its not the worst and best of all we are getting it for free so i would advise anyone that is connected to get this game. Maps are a good big size as well.

HammadTheBeast5019d ago

I have a feeling that we're still a few builds behind the devs. I have talked to a few of them on this IRC chat thing, and they have confirmed that they are playing a much "cleaner" build, this one has been somewhat "dumbed down" so that people don't need to download a HUGE file like the 13 GB DCUO.

And that's why I'm not worried about graphics and polish too much. Gunplay has improved a lot, but it still feels somewhat loose, and they said it was to be tightened up and improved soon. The hit detection is the major problem, and they have acknowledged it.

hardcorehippiez5019d ago

yea im not worried in the slightest. as i said each update is getting better and yea the graphics will improve , they usually do in most of the betas i have been in.

JAM_brz5019d ago

I´m relived to hear that. I played the game about 1 month ago and it looks not too good.

Like you said, I expect some improvements. I´m expecting a great game.

It's fun, the deep customization takes time to get used to.

this should be interesting.

Findingcrybabies3758d ago (Edited 3758d ago )

wow. that's messed up. I don't play the game, but shutting it down and then a month after that showing your replacement game after you told the community screw you. LOL. Remind me to never support or play a CCP game. There are games that came out many years before this one and the devs keep the servers up for people.

samden3758d ago

It's on an old console and was nearly dead in the water when it launched. Not much of a community left to anger. Quite frankly, it sucked, and I'm excited to see what the next one will bring.

Tony-Red-Grave3758d ago

From launch to death Dust was only really ever a poor mans M.A.G. God I miss M.A.G and Valor.

Pongwater3757d ago

Dust 514 was free so I don't see your point, but I do find your name ironic.

@Tony - Yeah I still wish for MAG2, or even a PS4 remaster of MAG.

evergrace3758d ago

One of the worst shooter games on ps3.

noxeven3757d ago

I remember them saying it was supposed to contribute to eve and everyone was up in arms and that never happened and it just fell to the way side

Pongwater3757d ago

I'm not sure enough people ever played DUST 514 to say "everyone was up in arms", but there were in fact cross play battles between EVE and DUST.

It was a cool concept with some sizable flaws, but I'd be interested in a sequel that addressed some of those flaws. I thought I heard there was a PS4 version coming, but maybe that's my imagination.

tanukisuit3757d ago

It was definitely ambitious given the tech involved and how late into last gen we were. They tried though and cross gameplay is getting more relevant, so I think not all was lost...

Player-created DUST514 Trailer Calls For EVE:Phoenix

DUST514 players create EVE:Phoenix trailers as part of their #PortDUST514 campaign.

Since the announcement of the DUST514 sequel EVE:Legion by CCP Games at FanFest 2014, there has been an almost eerie silence about the project from the game’s creators. Domains and trademarks were registered, and later left expired, for the EVE:Legion brand, and the player base was left watching as no actual news or progress updates were given by CCP, even at the various player-gatherings or CCP’s own FanFest 2015.

The players of DUST514, both past and current, have rallied under a banner, #PortDUST514, led by Ripley Riley, and are using this hashtag on social media to highlight that there is still a desire for a sequel or a port of the game to a more recent platform than the Playstation 3.
Most recently, this has resulted in the players creating propaganda posters and “memes”, and even voiced trailers, for what they themselves have named EVE:Phoenix.

The player Pokey Dravon, with the help of several other players, created this trailer for the campaign.
