Blizzard's security system was recently breached. Its North American servers were hit hard with a massive information compromise. Will they lose more than money, in the form of their users? Time will tell. Is this the straw that breaks the camel's back?

EA is laying off an unknown number of individuals from across its Battlefield teams, including workers at Criterion, Dice, Ripple Effect, and Motive Studios, IGN understands.
When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!
cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

Blizzard reveals plans to speed up Diablo releases with more frequent expansions and updates as the franchise moves toward a live-service future.
All I want is a physical disc release of remastered D2 that doesn't require online check-ins.
I've lost complete interest. Too much FOMO with seasons as it is, now it's expansions? No thanks.

The free-to-play reboot topped 15 million players in under three weeks, but EA now claims it needs to reshape the development team.
The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result
If anything, it will cost us. Expect more accounts to be hacked.
Every single person that I know that has played WoW, including myself, has had their account hacked. I don't really mind though; the hacker levelled up my mining skill and blizzard returned all my items.
I can't be assed to play the game anymore though.
If there was any justice in the world, it would cost them most of what they made from Diablo 3. But it won't.
It won't cost them a damn thing, hacking has been rife in WoW for a long time now and largely ignored....Why would they start caring now?
I have to say that with as much details as Blizzard has on me, I find myself terrified about most any of the details that could get out. On top of having been a consumer of theirs for at this point fourteen years (Diablo was one of my first PC games though not attached to something like battle net), they have everything from my full name and my mothers maiden name, to my first pets name, and details of not one, but three of my debit/credit cards.
While it is a frightening thought, I would like to point out that no company is impervious to hackers. This was bound to happen even if it were just for someone to prove they could do it.
All in all, I am not leaving Blizzard for their failure in security but for their lackluster content in the last two expansions of World of Warcraft, and the less than impressive release of Diablo III. I was deeply hoping there would be more content than there was with that, and with all the issues the first few weeks presented…. Yeah.
Since Activision and Blizzard teamed up my hopes have been crushed. While I really tried to enjoy Wrath Of The Lich King (it was decent I’ll admit) the last third of it, and the expansion after it (cata) were complete rubbish. Perhaps this is why those of us who played in Vanilla and the first expansion of WoW have an attachment to Burning Crusade… I mean besides Space Goats and mildly flawed/altered lore the content was engaging.
Anyhow, off on a rant from my original point: Yes, I plan on leaving Blizzard for now and possibly for the foreseeable future. No it’s not because of a security breach, but because their content in the past five years has become absolutely atrocious.
