Everybody loved robot wars to some degree, or at least they should have. For this reason, when I was told I’d be reviewing what is basically a side scrolling robot wars, I got a little more excited than was probably sensible. Rigonauts is, should you not already know, a side scrolling ‘wind up and watch’ title in which you build your ship from the ground up, arming it to the teeth with canons and shields before sending it into an automated battle with the enemy.

Hardcore Gamer: The Indie Royale Alaska bundle gives you six games (five known presently) for around $6. That $6 gets you a super-hard platformer in Electronic Super Joy, and a ton of strategy and tactical gaming in the form of March of the Eagles, Rigonauts, Sengoku - Way of the Warrior, and 99 Spirits.

Pocket Gamer: Anyone who remembers the TV series Scrapheap Challenge from its early noughties heyday will know all about the disconnect between the planning and the execution stage of a hasty construction project.
Like a real life version of The A-Team, two teams would have to build a fantastic contraption out of assorted scrap parts in order to carry out a specific task.

iOS.AppsGoer Writes:"Rigonauts is an inspiring battle game from Engient. Players have to devise contraptions on their own to defeat enemies. The fewer the materials and weapons are consumed, the more rewards players will get. Rigonauts is a test of one’s imagination, observation, creativity as well as operation abilities."
The reviewer Sherry Xu concluded that:"Rigonauts is an imaginative game that encourages and drives you to think out of box. It’s beyond doubt that it can entertain both hardcore players and casual players."
