Will Darksiders II Best Its Predecessor?

Jorge S. Fernandez writes: "During its development, few gamers paid much attention to Darksiders, the first title created under THQ’s Vigil Studios. Now, the sequel is finally approaching store shelves, this time with an audience of converted fans prepared for its arrival. But was the first game’s success just a fluke, or will Vigil be able to deliver an even better experience that could propel its franchise beyond its current label as “the mature Zelda”?"

Looks like it will. I am hoping it does enough to get the funding to allow them to continue. Would be a shame to only get 2 out of 4 horsemen.

ds1 was one of the best titles ive ever played but they really went all out for this sequel, i have no doubts it will be better

+hub world
+4 times the size
+loot
+leveling
+skill tress
+arena
+new game plus
+your get to play as death

-none ( maybe you could argue a newer storyline as opposed to parallel would be better )

On paper it sounds better but will it be?
In 1 week we will find out. Darksiders 1 was very good I hope this one will be too.

I'm currently playing DS1 for the first time. It's pretty damn good! Hopefully I will have it completed by next week so I can pick up DS2.

Because the PS4 has slow loading times I do prefer PS5 versions of games. The PS5 does load PS4 games faster but with a native PS5 version it loads much faster and it looks a bit better and better draw distance and such. So for me , I do want these 3rd releases for certain games and this is one of them. It’s one of my favorite PS3 games. Nobody is forced to buy it. It is not hurting anyone and it gives devs more money to make future games. These re-releases aren’t selling millions but it’s nice for people like me or people who never played the game.

It's a free upgrade for anyone that owns the PS4 and I'm assuming Xbox one version digitally.

I came back to add that it was free. Hard to be upset about a free upgrade. I would like to have a PS5 physical copy but it’s better than nothing
