Thought Arkham City was the better game, having played them both back-to-back. Really enjoyed the variety that Catwoman introduced, and the contrast that the different villains offered.

The thing I was most let down with though was technical performance. As soon as I switch DirectX 11 features on, frame rates drop significantly, which signals a rather poor implementation of the features, considering graphically more advanced titles run perfectly fine with those same features.

Asylum the story had that suspenseful feeling to it while city had better gameplay mechanics

Arkham Asylum I think took the entire industry by storm by giving us a Batman game in which it was really good and unexpected.

City did improve upon the formula but Asylum storyline and atmosphere was so good that I edge it to Asylum. When you have such a great game it is hard for a successor to wow us in the same way.

Gotham city impostors is better than both

Asylum. Better ambiance, better story, better set-pieces, better immersion.

Arkham City is waaay better.

Both games where great but in my opinion, Arkham Asylum was better. The game just had a creepier atmosphere. The first time you played it, you never knew what was waiting for you around each corner. There were moments that made me jump and I can't remember that ever happening in Arkham City.

But don't get me wrong, like I said, they're both great games, but I do feel that Arkham Asylum is the better of the two, if only by a small margin.

arkham asylum is kind of short and when u're done all u're doing is watching for riddler trophies without enemies or anything... that was lame + the enemies are so retarded in arkham asylum compared to arkham city

I thought the combat was better the first time around. Having access to most of your gadgets is great and all, but you'll never really use them...and they gimped the Batclaw.

Also, the combat feels a bit sloppy in AC...or at least, not as precise as with AA. Nothing like having a 200 hitter going and two guys run up to you like they're going to swing at you (and they do 90% of the time), and then back away as soon as you hit the counter button, thus ruining your combo. Or the guy with the bat that glides half a screen away to attack you. Or the guy that has a stronger fist than Batman has boot. This won't matter to most but I'm a Joker's Funhouse fanatic. Gotta top 6m score or die trying...
