
There has never been a better opportunity for the industry to finally push away from World of Warcraft-ism – with the Western world’s new RPG darling at the helm – and yet it seems even this project is determined to follow the hollow. To Default Prime's Lachlan Knibb, the greatest irony of all is how fiercely ZeniMax/Bethesda battled Minecraft developer Mojang over the name ‘Scrolls’ in the last year, only to happily slap the title on one of their own games bearing little semblance to anything else in the series.

The Battle for the Writhing Wall has begun! The event is now live, and it lasts until the Writhing Wall is destroyed. Band together with your fellow players to progress the event for your server and ultimately bring down the wall on your platform and region!
What I do know about Elder Scrolls Online: It's got a looooong way to go before it generates any sort of hype for me.
That is just awful, lets make generic mmorpg, and make sales on the Elder Scrolls name? Awesome idea!
I'm more hyped for this than I ever was for Skyrim. Skyrim was the worst Elder Scrolls game yet so if anything this will at least be better.
