Why can't you just do us a favor and ignore these games if you don't like them?

You know what's funny. When you're not satisfied with how things have turned out, you tend to go back and revisit some of the older titles. I really can't imagine a day w/o FFIII/VI or Final Fantasy VII, especially when I want to go back to it.

square just needs to step their game up~ if there WAS a final ff, i'm sure square would just have some sort of spiritual successor to it anyways. just improve it and everyone will be happy again~

Umm...I remember playing FF as a child. There is no reason for it to die. Sure, FF-XIII needs to wrap up, but not the series as a whole. Besides, it is Square's money crop. Some people just don't get that the stories happen in totally different places, times, universes, and other variables. It is not like they rehash them and call it new (*cough* Call of Duty *cough*). They have new stories, gameplay, creatures, characters, worlds, and ect. Each complete game has its own feel. Square has REALLY just hit a hump, and they need to get over it and deliver a new good FF, I am sorry, but I hated the gameplay of FF-XII, no offense to anyone who liked it.

P.S. The game on the "Luminous" engine did seem FF like, and it looked very interesting, story wise. Is it just me, or did that flying beast look like a version of Bahamut?

No thanks, I'm loving Final Fantasy right now. I loved the current and I loved the classics, and as long as each game has something original, fun and enjoyable in them, I wouldn't want them to kill off the series.

It's a new game with every entry. Its not like it's the same characters, same plot line, same hero and villain, same blah, blah, blah every time.

That's what makes this series unique.

Whether you hate it or not. You can't argue that it doesn't do any one of those things mentioned above.

Know its time for the genre to move on. Mature to a new level like it did with Xenogears, FF7 and even Chrono Trigger.

I don't see any problem with Final Fantasy, past or present. I really enjoyed XIII - especially the combat. Plus there's undoubtedly a XIII-3 to finish the trilogy and Versus XIII (although that could honestly be a standalone game at this point), and some good things to come next generation with the Luminous project.

True, there are ups and downs in the series, but there are so many games with a FF moniker that it's bound to be that way. However if you look at the series as a whole, they've improved so much in terms of gameplay and graphics and immersion.

I'm not a fan of their MMO efforts, but at least they tried :)

At first, I wanted Final Fantasy to die, before anymore harm comes to it.

But I've been liking what they were doing, with the FF3 and FF4 DS remakes. I'd like to see FF5 and FF6 done the same. And sorry to those who care, but I'm happy with my FF7-FF9 unaltered, for PSone games for the PSP. I am however, looking forward to seeing FFX HD. To think, we'll be able to play FF1-FFX all on portable consoles.

if you want a final fantasy game this gen the only real option is lost oddessy i never would of thought fresh off of FF X and x-2 that xbox would be my choice for RPG

I love the old FF games including the current,some memorable than others,I want them to continue treating me to those great jrpg experiences!

FF is dead for 10 years now the last FF was FFX & that was the last FF with Squaresoft logo on it, so I dont get for what all of u r u talking about, there is some ppl who claim that they make new FF games but that's just fail attempts to imitate the originals, & no matter what they do an FF with SE logo on it will be as much as original as adibas shoes r compare to adidas.

Why end the biggest name in jrpg history? It is a title that is used to get sales but each one is a new and unique experience with new enviroments, characters, and some new monsters and some returning favorites like chocobos and moogles. The Final Fantasy title does need to start living up to its title because fans are not liking ffxiii. I hope they have another group behind ffxv. I am one who does like xiii but why focus on a sequel to a game many do not want

Wizards of the Coast did more for the Final Fantasy brand than SE has in the last 10 years.
