Not Zombie...just saying. These really shouldn't be called Zombies

QuinnSullivan5038d ago

Title has been changed. Thank you for the advice. [not being sarcastic].

QuinnSullivan5038d ago

Errr, that came off sarcastically.

Mike_Tha_Hero5038d ago

Wow can we give the zombie shit a rest already? Accept the game for what it is.

Irishguy955038d ago

What makes you think i'm not accepting it? I'm just saying, the title used to say you could play as zombies(t Virus ones). But you play as C virus guys in this, run around with a machete

helghast1025037d ago

I have accepted the game for what it is.
A piece of shit not worthy of bearing the Resident Evil name with the only connection to the series being the names of some characters.

See? Accepted, dealt with.

Mike_Tha_Hero5037d ago

Yet you went out of your way to click on the story. Get a life my dude.

user54670075038d ago

Wow an online mode aswell thats like the one in Dead Space 2

This is game is going to suck balls

RIP Resident Evil

LOGICWINS5038d ago

Agreed. I hate it when games add extra modes that add more value to the package.

Skate-AK5038d ago

Haha I really can't tell if you were being sarcastic or actually agree.

Irishguy955038d ago

Agreed Logic, more content = ****

Christopher5038d ago

Depends on how much it detracts from the quality of the single player game, Logic.

LOGICWINS5038d ago (Edited 5038d ago )

Just because resources were used for other modes doesn't automatically mean that resources were taken away from the main game. For example, just because Dead Space 2 had a multiplayer component doesn't mean that resources were taken away from the single player component.

You don't know how many resources devs intended to allocate for each portion of the game. The single player portion of RE6 was most likely completed WAAAY before this mode was even conceived.

Assuming that RE6 was a single player campaign only game(no multiplayer, no extra modes), can you "prove" that Capcom would have used their extra resources to make the SP game better than the one we are getting now?

***Just because resources were used for other modes doesn't automatically mean that resources were taken away from the main ***

I didn't say it did. I said, specifically, that it depends on how much it DOES detract from the quality of the single player game. That could mean it doesn't (Zero Detraction).

***For example, just because Dead Space 2 had a multiplayer component doesn't mean that resources were taken away from the single player component.***

You don't know that it wasn't. But, we do know that many people felt that multiplayer did not add anything worthwhile to the game and felt that some of the 'horror' element was removed from it to make it more of an action game. Does this mean that focusing only on SP could have made a better single player experience? I don't know, but with the lackluster multiplayer, I think many people wouldn't have minded to find out. Or, they wouldn't have minded a much better multiplayer experience for the time and effort that was put into it.

***The single player portion of RE6 was most likely completed WAAAY before this mode was even conceived. ***

You don't know that, which you should know since your preceding statement said just that.

***Assuming that RE6 was a single player campaign only game(no multiplayer, no extra modes), can you "prove" that Capcom would have used their extra resources to make the SP game better than the one we are getting now?***

No, but I can say that if the single player game is lackluster compared to the previous games that they should have invested more money into it. If they couldn't, it could very easily be determined that money that was used to make the multiplayer game could have been used to improve the single player experience.

Would it be 100% accurate? No, but it would still be a fair assessment of the situation. Does that mean the multiplayer sucks because the single player experience doesn't hold up well? No, but that's beside the point, isn't it?

Again, I never claimed they had, but I said that it depends on how much it detracts from the quality of the single player game. I didn't say it did, I said if it does.

with over 500 bodies coding, animating, processing and developing this game for the last 3 years I doubt this mode was just tacked on 3 months ago!

I hate when gamers who complain about added content and assume its tacked on, You dont know how much resources was dedicated to added content or how much time planning and effort was put into having it up and running. how do you just assume its taking away from the single player experience!

I'm not sure why you haters care soo much about the game anyway when you say you hate this game, and how much its going to suck!. if it sucks to you right now, save yourself the trouble and disappointment and stay the F*** off the threads that pertain to this game!

Hmm, haven't heard DLC yet lol.

DigitalRaptor5037d ago (Edited 5037d ago )

Normally I think that the old excuse that adding multiplayer detracts from the single player experience is a load of crap, but in this case it definitely hadn't done it any favours. With RE6 it seems that Capcom are trying to build a game that offers a lot of content and value rather than focus on what series fans want to see.

If you don't mind playing an action game and are looking forward to it, then at least respect the ones who are pissed off about the lack of survival horror because they're probably bigger fans of the series than you are. At any rate this "extra option" is not the first sign that RE6 is not the game many of us care about anymore, and is sadly becoming a franchise of similar stature. Unnecessary gratuitous nudity, live (not zombie) enemies that shoot back at you, the lack of the scares that are expected from the franchise.and numerous other things.

The story at least looks interesting, which is why a rental is the best Capcom are gonna get from me.

Oh….wow, RE6 huh….urm, cool, just what we always wanted.

EW
NOOOOOOOOOO
In what mind make sense to do this with the worse game on the series 🤦🏿

DivineHand125485d ago

I loved Resident Evil 4 back in the day and enjoyed Resident Evil 5 even though I had to do co-op to beat the final boss. Shiva was just too dumb.

Resident Evil 6 on the other hand, was so bad that I stopped playing after an hour in the game. That was before I even played any high-quality single-player games outside of Mass Effect, Portal, and Skyrim. I can't imagine playing RE6 now.

Chances are their next remake will be 5.

Profchaos484d ago

I just don't get why it's already on the platforms via BC unless it's a remake which would piss everyone off as fans are hoping for either the original game or code veronica to get the remake treatment

CrimsonWing69484d ago

Isn’t it already backwards compatible?
