Glitch Cat - Those nitpicks aside though, Anna still manages to be a delightfully dark game, which doles out the fear in precise potions, so that you’re just as much intrigued as you are wary. Dreampainters may have not created a perfect game for their first foray, but it definitely shows where their strengths lie. Like a good book, it’s easy to get lost in Anna, and watch as reality frays a bit at the edges. Though I do wish I could have stayed a bit longer, I still enjoyed every moment.

GameCrate: "October is here, and for a lot of people, that means watching horror flicks and playing scary video games all month long. It’s all in preparation for Halloween, a day to embrace your inner, scary-story-loving, candy-adoring child. We’re celebrating Halloween in a big way here at GameCrate: instead of relegating this wonderful day to a single 24-hour period, we’re doing it all month long. Over the next few weeks we’ll be taking a look 31 different quality scary games, one for every day of the month of October."

DHGF: Anna is an esoteric title that offers more in the way of offering players a chance to feel creeped out as opposed to hiding-under-the-covers-with-t he-lights-on horror. You likely won’t find yourself screaming for your mother, but you may have a couple of disturbing dreams afterward. The game offers a strong storyline which will satisfy the more curious players through repeated playthroughs, but has a simple ending for those who don’t want to spend time with the more obtuse puzzles. Dreampainters creates a fantastic atmosphere through detailed imagery and ambient sound, but misses the mark a little on the user interface side of things. For someone who isn’t terribly into horror games, I thought it to be a good experience and don’t regret playing it.

DSOGaming writes: "Kalypso Media Digital announced today the impending release of Anna – Extended Edition for PC and Mac via digital download partners"
Yeah, it did go kind of quick. Little rough around the edges compared to a few other titles, but pleasant none the less.
