IGN writes: While more experimental players have been adding in numerous blocks via Minecraft mods, the rest have to wait until the Mojang team makes an official release. Today's news, announced via Minecraft developer Jens "Jeb" Bergensten's Twitter feed, shows off a new block targeted exclusively at server admins.

Gaming trends are so weird to me now. Like, I’m old school and games were consumed essentially how movies were. You play through a title and look forward to the sequel or other things that came out. Now, that is so not the norm.

Could be really nice, but most server admins already use mods for stuff like that. It would eliminate having to wait for the mods to update when minecraft updates though.
