Talk to older wrestling fans and they'll tell you that the WWE isn't quite what it used to be. Sure there are still some superstars that fit the calibre of yesteryear like CM Punk, Rey Mysterio and - say what you will - John Cena, but there isn't that strength and depth of quality that was a core part of wrestling's resurgence during the late nineties. We're talking of course about 'The Attitude Era'; a time when The Rock was first coming to the forefront at the same time as a certain Steve Austin, while The Dudley Boyz, Team Xtreme and Edge and Christian were all vying for the Tag Team Championship by chucking each other through innumerable tables, ladders and chairs.
So what exactly does this have to do with WWE'13? Well in a surprising twist, this year's edition of the annual franchise features not only modern superstars but also those from that golden era in a special story-based mode which takes replaces the regular Road to Wrestlemania game-mode. We had a chat with THQ's long-time WWE champion and creative director Cory Ledesma to ask why his team are having to delve into wrestling's past....

Some of you may know that the latest instalment in the WWE gaming franchise 2K20 was released late last year to generally poor reviews. Some of this was based on graphical issues, but mostly it was due to the many glitches and bugs found – many of which are hilarious to witness.
Fire Pro needs more love. The last PS4 title gets regular playtime from me.
I hear that there are financial troubles at the studio, but I'm hopeful for a Switch port one of these days.
I have Fire Pro for PS4 and PC but it seems more of like a Sim creator rather than people actually playing out matches. I still dont like anything as much as the N64 games
Yes, the WWE ones at least. The last good one was 2K14 and the last great one was Here Comes the Pain.

There's been so many great wrestling games throughout the years. But this list of the 10 best wrestling games of all time will crown one true champion.

Bidness Gaming: WWE wrestling games went through several transitions, but in the end we saw it all end in a count-out!
IMO the story aspects became the worst. the universe mode isn't as good as the GM mode(imo)
commentary is really bad
enemy ai isn't good neither is hit detection
instead of putting effort into single player story all we have gotten are past glory moments. i mean we are basically watching replays of old matches
i am surprised we didn't get a true wwe vs wcw game
the one wwe game few years ago with wcw story line was good(i had fun with story mode atleast)
here comes the pain
shut your mouth
day of reckoning
no mercy
are some of the best wwe wrestling games
