Custom Steampunk Xbox 360 Controller Hits Auction

eBay user "troxin_kustoms" is selling the custom (and working, he claims) Xbox 360 controller mod you see, a painted beauty meant to resemble a less advanced, repurposed construction material. Alongside the custom paint job, all of the face buttons and analog sticks have been ripped out in favor of old typewriter keys.

Unfortunately I am rather broke at the moment.

The spare cash I have, while I really do want that, could go a lot further than simply a cool looking controller.

That is hideous. That looks like a kid ripped his controller apart and put it back together using old cheap parts and a glue gun. The paint job is atrocious too. Sorry, that's a horrible attempt at steampunk. You need gears and/or pistons somewhere on it.

Steampunk can look amazing when done correctly but this is done by an amateur and it shows. I can't believe anyone thinks that looks good.

Just look at some of those and then look at this.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's "hideous," but I must agree somewhat with Veni. This is far from an excellent example of steampunk work, and not really worthy of a story, in my opinion. The paint job is inconsistent and not very convincing -- although, I do like the typewriter keys and the keyhole on the back. :)

"Gaming’s Biggest Fighting Franchise"

Press X to (seriously) doubt.

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.

And then MK1 killed it again.

15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.
