TouchGen: The stealth-action game that took me by surprise. Whether we like it or not, it is almost unavoidable that what we hope to get out of a game colors our opinions when playing. Call me a sucker, but the trailer for Dynamite Jack on iPad had me psyched. I saw a game that was fast-paced, challenging, and gave the appearance of allowing player creativity.
Ryan Whitwam writes, "In Dynamite Jack, you play the part of a space marine that has been captured by the enemy and forced to work in the Anathema Mines. You don't have time for that nonsense, so escape it is. It seems like your alien captors are not the brightest stars in the cosmos – they leave explosives, flashlights. and keycards laying around everywhere. Lucky for you."
The Advent of Indies is a new site dedicated to the first 24 days of December, showcasing a new Indie developer each day until the 24th. Each developer will have two games featured; “Their most delicious bites of gingerbread free, sweetened with games prizes right next to them.” In other words, a free and a paid game, with a chance to win said paid game.
