Gamereactor UK's Gillen McAllister caught up with Far Cry 3 multiplayer producer Magnus Jansén and found out exactly what makes it "a monster game."
On the reaction to the co-operative modes:
"I think it's been really good so far . It's something that people have sort of secretly wanted, and it's been missing. We've got big single player campaign, we've got open world single player, and then we had adversarial multiplayer. And then there was this hole and now we've filled it... It's a monster game now, where nothing is missing, and with the map editor we have you can build your own multiplayer maps and it's just even more than people expect."
On how the co-op factors into the game:
"The events of co-op take place about six months before the events of single player and what happens to Jason and his friends. So what happens is that these four characters are working on a seedy cruise ship, they're down on their luck, their lives have hit rock bottom and they're looking for a chance to turn things around. And when Vaas's pirates attack the ship the captain betrays everybody and makes off with the money and sells everybody off as slaves."
"Our four characters seize their chance to go after and go for revenge on the captain, get their money (and some more) so they can sort of turn everything around... Four characters put in this insane where everybody just turns mad and they're trying to keep their sanity, which is not big to begin with because we've got some pretty crazy characters as well. And then they basically come here and try to survive, fight their way across the island and get their money and get some revenge."

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.
We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."
I cannot wait for this game, I have a thing for Far Cry games.
I might even actually give the multiplayer a try when i get my hands on it :P
I'm excited for it, but it's just too far away to get excited about it. I know it was only delayed until Dec 4 in the states and late Nov in Europe.......but knowing Ubisoft, it will be delayed until March.
super psyched for this, far cry 2 was immersive as hell
