yea but why would they put the investment of putting games on the Wii U in the first place, Ubisoft launching so many games should already be a statement saying how they think the Wii U will be successful. If they didnt then why would they put any investment at all?

They're not really saying it to "us," really. They're saying it to their stockholders, who they need to keep confident about the future after they invested their time and energy in Wii U titles (after, I'm sure, a lot of Nintendo financial support).

Stockholders are most likely wary about the Wii U after its showing at E3, they've seen the games press knock it quite a bit. Ubisoft made a huge investment in the Wii U. Makes sense that they'll try to drum up as much support as possible.

Let's hope Watch Dogs does gangbusters for these guys, because they're going to have to pay for the loss they'll take on Batman: Arkham City: The Batarang On A Not-Ipad Edition.

If it was just Ubisoft saying this than I would dismiss there opinion. As it is, many credible sources have commented on the Wii U in a very positive manner. After the it is understandable for us hardcore gamers to be skeptical of them. But please don't bury your head in the sand and just assume the console will be good or bad. Rather, keep an open mind and hope that this console isn't crap. From everything that I have seen and read before, the Wii U looks like a great console.

Dude, lots of developers and people in the industry voice thier concern or distaste if something isnt to thier liking, or they dont think much of it, its not all 'we'll support it so we get money.'

I think they are making games for it because they think it will be a success.

They werent always making games for it. At some point they decided the console would do well, and then decided to make the games.

I doubt they would invest heavily into something they thought would fail.

People don't normally make games for a console they think is going to fail - not 7 of them anyway. Duhhhh.
