its not psn its the connection u use to connect it to the internet nothing more, i knwo cause i had the exact same problem, but it has to do with your DSL, Cable or ect. not psn at all.

but even if psn was really down......................ITS FREE SO WE CANT COMPLAIN.

GO to your playstation check your network settings then click on settings and conection status list under the mac address is MTU if it douse nt read 1400 you now need to input that number manualy in internet connections settings so select custom insted of easy once you get to MTU enter 1400 all other setting leave on auto detect. save settings turn of ps3 and reboot you should now be able to conect to psn online note you may need to type in your password again.

I have benn online all day playing COD4. Check your NAT TYPE. Which game are you playing? May be just your carrier having issues or your router. MOST OF THE TIME THESE ISSUE ARE DUE TO THE SETTINGS ON YOU ROUTE. IM A SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER AND KNOW THESE THINGS. This is not a problem with the PSN.

I beleive it is a problem relating to the router or just the person's isp. I've only encountered that once and it was after I installed a new router. But other than that, I'm pleased to say I've been playing warhawk and cod4 online today, no problems whatsoever =)

is to blame for the internet web page loading slow down attacking isp service providers world wide and could be the cause of not being able to conect to the playstation net work for some. follow my step s to reconect post no 30 good luck.

1.I would like to start out by saying that my psn works fine for me. I have been playing the timeshift mp demo lately and it has been frustrating geting a game started but that's actually the fault of the servers that really suck bad.

PSN has been flawless for me and 51 of my other PSN buddies since Febuary 2007,I just got off playing COD4 and UTIII about two hours ago,I have NEVER experienced any problems on the PSN for almost a year now;)

Last summer, and it was out for a month, but my internet was messed up. I had trouble using the internet, but I couldn't log in to psn at all. It sucked because I had to wait a month to update to 1.9. It's probably little of both,psn and the internet company.

I can tell you several things you should do to fix it.
1.) If it cancels you out just re log on it works every time.
2.) Did you set your WEP Key Address right?
3.) If so did you set the connection to wireless?
4.) Basically look over all your network connections and see if you did anything wrong.
5.) Also you can restart your system and try again when logging on.
Try following this method doesn't matter which order and see if it works.
