X360: Halo 4 and Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 release a week apart. Who will come out on top? We chat to Halo 4′s creative director, Josh Holmes, to find out…

Former CEO describes lawsuit filed by Swedish pension fund as a "collateral attack" on Activision Blizzard.
Kotick Made $155 million from MS in the buyout, the little b*tch needs to stop whining. Thanks to this Microslop deal and massive industry consolidation thousands upon thousands of devs and other workers lost their livelihoods. This greedy piggie pervert needs shut up and f-off.

Windows Central: "The money may keep rolling in, but Microsoft is the custodian of one of the biggest selling video game series in history. If something doesn't change, I fear we'll reach a breaking point and irreparable damage will have been done."
In my view, they should probably merge MP with Warzone and essentially make it free to play like Halo Infinite. The campaign/zombies mode can be $30 yearly DLC. I know this would be insanity as most COD players essentially pay the full price of the game simply for the MP. However-with a shrinking player base they may have to consider it. Making it free would bring in a ton of players.
To late MW3 should have been a lesson but here we are two years later with a steaming pile a shite called blops7
Nothing lasts forever, eventually something will come along to make people forget about COD
Call of Duty was riding the revenue horse and charts for ~20 years. Whether undeserved or deserved.
But I endorse everyone to remind you that Microsoft could have decided differently when they took it over.
The money was certainly there, and they could have taken their time revamping the franchise:
Current-gen tech, manageable microtransactions, not imitating Fortnite and returning to core values of the franchise's origin.
They didn't.
Let's see next year. Hopefully without the then 13 years old PS4 and One hardware.

Glenn Israel writes: "As of today and after seventeen long years, I am officially no longer contributing to the Halo universe. There is little more I can say for the moment, though I intend to share this particular story in its entirety when it is absolutely safe to do so next year. In the meantime, I have a message for anyone and everyone who needs to hear it.
I know that the state of our industry seems dire, but never forget that you are *free to choose*. No illusion of security nor promise of wealth or fame or power is worth trading away your health, your dignity, your ethics or values - and no one can force you to. Stay strong, take evidence when necessary, and find where you belong."
He said something very marking . We tend to complain a lot about the industry but deep down I realize that we never have we been offered this crazy amount of games all available for you to play now . You can literally play any sorts of games in 2025 . Nobody is forcing you to buy the latest COD or the latest BF . You’re more of a 8 bit cozy gaming guy there’s a whole niche of modern games for that . You like micromanaging there’s games for that . I feel like we have been spoiled so much we just stopped being realistic and thinking for ourselves . We follow trends cry about stuff online when you are the buyer you have the power .
....wth happened over there?
Does this confirm a new Halo by next year?
What did they want him to do that made him feel it was morally wrong or a insult to his integrity?
Well how about that, a name change doesn’t fix internal issues
Who would have thought
I'm sorry but Halo is in a completely different league to Black Ops. There is no comparison.
The story is part of an extremely in depth and engaging fiction and isn't an afterthought which the current COD series, especially the original Black Ops.
It is far more original not only it's narrative but also every other area like weapons, levels, game modes, an AI that actually exists, vehicles and freedom.
Most important of all though; it's gameplay is unique to this day and the formula hasn't gotten stale, which is more than can be said for the much reused Call of Duty series.
If Halo was multiplatform it would blow COD sales away, it's overall the better experience.
Halo is the better game hands down, it offers one of the best multiplayer experiences on console. The only game which i could see giving it some competition is the next Bungie game. Before people say we have no idea what the game is, it's Bungie, they made Halo and made the multiplayer what it is today and they will obviously want to top that experience with this new IP.
I plan on getting both games. The difference is I'll be getting halo at launch but will wait a month or two for black ops... because I'll be too busy playin halo
I plan on getting both and enjoying them. Hate if you must but I like cod just as much as I like halo.
"Great experiences" in a cod game. lmao
