Nintendo's upcoming Wii U is sure to shave a few features here and there to reduce its price for consumers, but that doesn't mean that those features wouldn't have been awesome additions to the console's capabilities. Check out GenGAME's list of the top five things Wii U is missing.

The rejection is non-final (and even when such rejections are labeled as “final”, the process is far from over, given that there can be, at minimum, an appeal to the Federal Circuit).
Good, as they should! A game mechanic like that shouldn't be locked behind a patent, and Nintendo didn't invent it either.
Nintendo wants to keep wasting money on bullshit lawsuits, real smart in this economy. They should put that money aside for other game projects. On the other hand, I don't care if they waste it all either, and they are screwed in the future maybe that will teach them a lesson.

Nintendo completed its share repurchase and set its secondary offering price at 8,347 yen ahead of March 16 delivery.

Xenoblade Chronicles series composer Manami Kiyota has possibly finished the final orchestra recording for the next Monolith Soft title.
Makes sense. It's been nearly 3 years since the DLC for 3 came out. The next Xenoblade or whatever they end up calling it will probably come out next year.
"Bonus: Bundle with Included Hard Drive"
If you want a "slightly pricier bundle" buy a cheap External Flash Drive.
It does not have to be in the same box for it to be more expensive. Just buy it seperately- why should Nintendo waste money shipping 2 different models? When people know what SD, Pen Drives and USB Hard Drives are?
Better! THEY ALREADY OWN THEM.
I don't think that the Wii U necessarily needs any of those things. Yea... they'd be nice, especially "the game that blows everything else out of the water" (every console needs that), but nothing on this list is imperative for success.
The Wii U NEEDS the following:
- a reasonable price
- a strong online network
- 3rd party support
- strong first party software
agree with everyone the article is poor because those things dnt guarantee success.

well for the "games that blow everything else away" part. I would not expect a 3D mario for a while. mario galaxy 2 is less than 2 years old, and no new Zelda for a while seeing as how Skyward Sword just released in November. I hope Retro is making a Metroid or Star Fox, but not expecting 3D mario or a Zelda game for a while.
