Pixels or Death's Patrick Lindsey plays Super Meat Boy and records some of his thoughts, ranging from the insightful to the inane:
"When you stop and think about it, Super Meat Boy is one of the most emotionally moving videogames in recent memory. Sure, platformer heroes have a tendency to go on “rescue their girlfriend” quests but I just sort of feel it more with Meat Boy. I mean, when was the last time you saw Mario explode in a gelatinous mass of red pixels? There’s something about that sort of explosive mortality that just sort of hints at “vulnerability,” y’know?"

Microsoft is a little slow this month when it comes to announcing the Games with Gold lineup for June 2022. This has led to the lineup leaking ahead of the announcement.
This is just plain sad, they are basically charging you for online and that's it, I guess this goes hand in hand with the "tell me you only play AAA games without telling me you only play AAA games"
Both Gamepass and Gold games offerings have gone way downhill.

I actually really enjoyed Aven Colony when it was on Gamepass. I got it for free from Epic Store a few months back.

The last decade wasn't the Golden Age of platformers, that's for sure, but there were still many great games. Check out Wccftech's shortlist!
They put Celeste in the honorable mentions. Such a shame, this game is premium in platforming. Rayman is also def a 10/10 platformer.
