wow the 360 is a monster in software sales, that is a very impressive number for a console that is so young.

Considering the 360's been out alot longer then wii/ps3 its not that major. Ps3's big franchises are coming... Wii's too.

Note: the ps2's 205 titles that sold over a million.... I think its safe to say ps3 has alot of ip's to draw from. 360 does have a nice lead there though.

1. PS3's GPU holds multi platform games back. Cell will not help make graphics so much better because GFX-programming is single threaded, not parallel like Cell. So multiplatform games will always look better on XBOX. PS3 will have good games with great physics (LittleBigPlanet) but no with better GFX. Unified architecture of XBOX Xenos GPU is Nvidia 8800 level while PS3's RSX GFX is Nvidia last gen 7xxx series.
2. Sony know this. That is why they over hype and lie to their customers. But software sale shows us that customers didn't get fooled. More than expected amount of people buy PS3 for..for movies first and don't buy PS3 games.
3.SonyDefence forse is acting on this site and all over internet. That is a group of people that write great user reviews on SONY product all over internet. So be careful receiving information about SONY products. If product is bad(yeah, Sony makes bad products too)SonyDefenceForce will make it look better than it is by posting reviews and their lying opinions at most popular internet sites.

They have very good and clever management which knows how to make money on software.

ps3 has been our for a year, no sh*t, wii has crappy 3rd party games, and 360 has been out for 3 or 4 years. You can have 31 million games but they suk.

Fo the record, VGcharts inflates xbox sales and decreases ps3 sales because i know resistance sold way more than that, i mean, how did it sell less than motorstorm

I gotta hand it to MS, their console sells software. I find it disturbing "ONLY" PS3 fans will not give it props. I feel like they must think the Xbox is just a fluke. I didn't think MS could bring out games that will sell just as good or better than Halo, but they have managed pretty well.

All I know is developers will take notice and this is why MS is here to stay. I don't think overall they will gain more "User-base" as much as Sony over the past years but "Japan" will be the difference there in terms of numbers.

MS came in this not to repeat the Dreamcast failures, and already I think they have supassed my beloved "Dreamcast" in certain categories, even though I loved some of the Original DC games.

Sony will get better with time but the fact that "Movie Buffs" are buying the console it's pretty hard to determine who are the real gamers buying games, out of the PS3 user-base early on. After all it was Sony's "strategy" with the Trojan horse, which will not cost them the War((if that's what you wanna call it)) since this is still early but there will be major Damage to it's 70% market-share it had early 2000, as it will continue to dwindle, if the 360 continues to get Lost or Gained Exclsuives/Price-Cuts/XBL Upgrades.

For Microsoft on it's second-Gen console that is good enough. Glad I'm part of. Next on my list is "Bioshock" and "DMC", hopefully I will be just in time for "Lost Odyssey".

in the next couple of weeks, there will be about 10-12 PS3 titles to pass a million (and games like DMC4 and GT5 Prolouge will also join the list pretty soon)

playstation 3 is selling very well to have 7 million sellers at this point and about three more in the coming weeks because it had to compete with the xbox360,and the nintendo wii.the xbox360 had a whole year with no next gen competition so alot of crappy xbox360 games sold a million copy's because there were no where else to get next gen titles so alot of people just settle on buying whats out there whether it was good or not.So thats not a fair comparison but we will see this year who will have the more million sellers. I have both systems I believe when it's all said and done ps3 will be on top. remember it's not how u start it's how u finish.Also RFOM is not a pack in title like two of your million sellers marvel ultimite alliance and pgr4.which would never sell a million copy's if it wasn't packed in with the xbox360.

Microsoft's Xbox 360 continues world domination. Only real hardcore gamers buy the Xbox 360. Most PS3 owners are still in Junior High and can't afford to buy their own games and Sony's lineup suffers because of it. The other half of PS3 owners buy movies and nothing else.

Xbox 360 is the only real next generation console.

What was the attach rate a year ago? That is the number that is more accurately comparable to Nintendo and Sony's. 360 owners have two years worth of games to choose from, whereas the others only have one so far. I don't doubt at all that whatever that number is, it is higher then Nintendo and Sony's, but it won't be what this article is talking about. Sample size people. Sample size.
