Well i'm from Italy and i'm glad to see the PS3 doing well, but it doesn't surprise me, altough the past year i thought that many wanted an xbox now i know a lot of friend that have a ps3 and/or want one. they begun to understand all it's power and capabilities, because at first it was too pricy and peopele didn't know well about all the ps3 can do, now that even here the blu ray is more and more knowed the thing are clear in the italians minds. Also i'm glad more that the ps3 is selling better that wii than the 360, i hate the wii and i think it's only the ruining of the next gen, the only winner have to be the ps3 and the 360 and not that fad, even if wii manage to sell 100 millions i will never buy it to play unless it's free because it doesn't have ONE game that i want and that i'm waiting, only the same Nintendo franchises 20 yars old and crappy ps2 ports. Wake up people, death to the wii.

I want to vomit when New Zealand Nintendroids or Spanish or Italian Sony-haters 'apologize' for PS3's/Sony's dominance as if it's something bad.
There's some particularly bad ones on neogaf who comment on the bad taste.

Or PS3, all multiplat games and best 2008 lineup/in history, far better controller, far superior emmy award winning interface, similar online to the nearest competitor and in many ways better (free ONLINE!!! Internet), Blu-ray, media centre, linux, all for a a VERY reasonable and comparable price.

Sorry to the rest of you (it's not as if Wii matters - the software will continue to be sh!t and not steal from PS3, as Wii really is competing with PS2 - there's NEVER been such a weak "next gen" console as Wii and the games have never been non-competitive with the other consoles in the gen war), and minor thanks to all Euro countries except UK for choosing unanimously and overwhelmingly the PS3 over the 360.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
