Lone Survivor Review | Explosion.com

"The Lone Survivor puts you in a post-apocalyptic world riddled by zombies. Despite placing itself well within the horror survival genre, the essentials to survival—food, ammunition, and shelter—are all unlimited. How the main character finds these things or survived the apocalypse in the first place is left up to the player’s imagination, but they aren’t without a motive. Instead of trying to survive the zombie apocalypse, the main character spends the game trying to find another person to die with. You can spend countless days (literally) surviving in the apartment without venturing out—but once you do decide to leave, monsters and horrors await you." | Explosion.com

10 Obscure Horror Games You Probably Haven't Played

GameRanx:
10 awesome and obscure horror games you probably haven't heard of. What offbeat horror games do you love? Let us know in the comments!

DarkOcelet3740d ago

That means they are not popular enough.

DragonDDark3740d ago

No.. the game is called "Obscure"

DarkOcelet3740d ago

You never heard of it?

Obscure is awesome, it has the style of gameplay of Resident Evil.

If you are a fan of the old school Resident Evil then you should play both Obscure 1 and Obscure 2.

They are so cliched as they get but so cool too lol.

DragonDDark3740d ago (Edited 3740d ago )

No xD
I'm saying that obscure is an obscure game lol

I played Obscure 1 and 2 and I loved them.

Eternal Darkness is pretty popular. A better entry would've been Clock Tower.

I have Haunting Ground on the PS2 and Siren Blood Curse on the PS3. Both of those games are pretty good.

DeSpiria for the Dreamcast it's a strange horror RPG evolving around a special agent sent to discover an underground cult. It's set in a dystopian future after World War III which leads to some serious creepy atmosphere. The character designs are questionable but it flourishes in monster design and disturbing music (which would have been so much better in full-length but tracks are limited to 20 second loops.) I await the day I am fluent in my Japanese studies so I can play this game in it's entirety.

Haunting Ground, Galerians and Rule of Rose deserves mentions as well. I would go on about these three but I doubt you guys want to read a novel....

Nice list - I will definitely try The Evil Within, that looks freaky.

I wish I could have played PT. Damn you Konami!

Digital_Anomaly3873d ago

There were a couple spots in there that I quite nearly shit myself. No joke.

Yui_Suzumiya3872d ago

Yeah I know. I finally got a PS4 in July after it'd already been removed :(

MercilessDMercer3873d ago

Interesting choice of Silent Hill 4 over 2! This is also a lengthy list of games that will give me an anxiety attack

Paulhammer3873d ago

PT scared the s*** out of me. Such a shame.

I don't think Metro is considered a Horror game lol. At least not at all in the traditional sense.
